Billet Rods!!!!!!!
I talked to the builder I'm working with on getting billet rods made for our engines. I was told if I could get 5 orders for rods they would knock the price down to $1444.(not sure on tax and shipping) Not very bad at all for custom made Billet Steel connecting rods. My rods will be made within the next two weeks so anyone wanting in on the deal needs to decide quick. They will have ARP rod bolts also and the same rods have been used in engines making well over 1000hp. The 4 cylinder race cars that are running them have made over 1000hp with no problem and that's at 250hp per rod. We will never come close to the rods limits.

see that all things considered thats a great price and thats for 5 being made. For all that machine work and etc. seems like between the rods and the short block available those are more than fair prices then the damn headers floating around but im gonna see that that changes.

I'm going to let the guy I'm working with know that I've got 5 people confirmed and see what need to be done for deposit/payment. Should have some additional info on the rods today also.

No word on weight yet. Design will be same as stock with a wider SE. That's the plan but I haven't gotten specifics. I sent stock rods and pistons out to be tested and they were designed off them with some changes that my builder and rod manufacture decided on. They will stay piston guided just like factory.

Cool mod, I have experience in building motors with billet rods. They are very light and strong too. But, they have a shelf life I'm sure you already know. There are some things you have to do differently when building a motor with billet rods due to the stretch at higher rpms. But, since our engines don't turn that high of rpms. That's something to consider.
I used to run billet rods back when I used to race. I think we ran howards or another brand it was someones last name also. I forget it's been awhile.
I do remember having to shave out the inside of the block so the rods clear and also part of the girdle. They are bulky! GL on your build!
