Newbie question....
Doesn't the E55 come with xenon's stock??? I could of swore the E55 came with stock xenons, but I saw my second on on the road today and it was regular halogens...someone explain???

anybody correct me if im wrong but halogen headlights are standard on the w211 e55. bi xenons are optional. w210 e55 had regular xenons as standard. bi xenons were not available for those 99-2002 from the factory.

Bi-xenons are an option--$1150 (includes headlamp washers, woo hoo).
They were standard previously but one of the ways MB was able to avoid raising the price of the new (211) E55 vs. the 210 was to make some of the previously standard equipment optional, hoping people would add options which would add sufficient profit margin for MB.

You could spend an extra $10,000 to get STANDARD XENONS on an Audi RS6.....and you'd be out a whole lot more money AND have a slower car.....AND take a bigger hit on depreciation
