My .02....

Per a conversation with Cory at Kleemann USA they do not require (or believe necessary) larger injectors and looped rail for their tunes, no matter the mods. That said, he is happy to tune in house for larger injectors when purchasing Klee products. He even offered to install TTM's rail and injectors when doing other work on my car (someday...lol).

Those that point to data logging as the first step to dealing with our fueling issues are spot F'ing on.
Our fuel system has several Achilles heels, and the non looped rail is only a minor point when compared to the senders/filters.
No matter what anyone says these parts have a limited life span. The pump/senders/filters are all in one units that fit into the fuel tank. The need to be replaced periodically. They get clogged and the cars run lean. This can reallyp lead to problems.
When I first tried to get my car dyno tuned the afr's were lean. The first tuner gave up. The second tuner (thanks for the extra effort Jeremy diagnosed the problem as fuel filters that were not functioning correctly. Swapped both units And low and behold the cars afr's were spot on.

The scary part is if I had done a box tune, with my 178 rt pulley and headers without any monitoring of afr's, I would probably have popped my motor.

Moral of the story...

If you mod these cars (that are now at least 7 year old) without monitoring gvital functions, wether on a dyno or with dedicated data logging, you are straight up asking for trouble.

Step one: Buy data logging equipment.
Step two: Headers, high flo cats and x pipe.
If everything thing still looks good...
Step three: split the cooling system.
Step four: Increase boost and get a tune.
Step five: Rape 95% of the cars you come across.

I would be interested. Any idea on what the cost of these rails would be, I know you said more than expected but just trying to get a ballpark number

Remember our cars have 2 fuel pumps. The second only kicks in after 5 sec of WOT.

Which, when guys are popping motors it is at high speed , def more than 5 sec WOT. Thoughts ?
Still could be partial clogged fuel filters or rail etc issues but do you think both pumps gone weak?

This place is a joke.
I wonder if it's not partially clogged filters causing it....I've taken them apart at 50k miles and they are FULL of black crud, and look real bad, and that's on the V6 models. I know many are not being changed, I did mine because it had 100K on it!! And this car was dealer serviced it's whole life. It often gets overlooked by owners because of the cost of replacement, and it gets forgotten by the techs to recommend because it's not easily checked. And the service advisors, well last week they were probably carpet cleaners or selling life insurance so....

Anyways I'll likely change my pumps soon now that they are also just over 100k miles.

One factor that some of you newer guys havent heard, dont know or are forgetting that a couple of members had issues because they had there cars tuned during the summer and when 35-40 degree days came along and guys went WOT they had issues.

Where do you get this info? I'm curious as the duel pump systems I've seen run both pumps on low voltage unless high volume is needed and the voltage goes up.

Shouldnt this be addressed with a good tune ? Seems like a good tuner would take that into account.

I have had the dreaded sender/pump go bad twice and I'm very weary of opening it up now, as it's a 1000$ if anything should go wrong

surely a pressure check of the fuel line would reveal any symptoms of blocked filters / bad pump etc ?

That's why I'm putting a fuel PSI gauge in with my new build.

LOL After emailing a vendor about a few products and prices I just got an email from a "respected" sponser telling me I obviously "just want cheap and inferrior products on my car. Good luck hitting tens ! ".

I hadnt done or said anything to instigate this kind of response. Simply trying to stay within a budget and asked about prices. Since when is dropping $6K on parts before you get the car considred "cheap" ? I guess the majority of people just bend over since there arent a lot of choices. In all my time on forums over the many years I have never been talked to like that by a vendor no less. Even a Grand Prix forum never acted like that. Sure is a different way to go about getting sales.

Factory training. Granted on this platform was many years ago and I'm going by memory but pretty sure of myself.

Yes he has lots of fast cars. I didnt push any BS his way at all. Was trying to push some money his way but I guess I asked for too many prices Everyone loves you when you are pushing money their way ... reminds me of certain kinds of girls. Some are just nice others need to be paid to be nice. After being talked to like that thought I would never buy a thing from him nor would I recommend anyone to. Not a good practice at all. I highly doubt he treats people like that in real life. Internet often times brings out the worst in people.
