Looking for the best tuner on Long Island..possibly a pulley too..any recommendations
Just got an 04 E55, see new thread on 'finally found e55', and wanted to know who on Long Island can tune these things (who is the best basically, even if not that close, then locally or as local as possible) and what pulley to possibly get? I would also like to know that if I choose to do a tune only, what type of gains can I expect and is it worth it? Thanks

I am not sure if you are aware or not but pretty much all the tuners can remote tune you, or you can even buy units that will hold multiple tunes that you can flash yourself at any time. Just figured I would put that out there, wasn't sure if you were wanting something local for sake of problems you may have or just not realizing you don't need to send your ecu out or anything. Get on your laptop with a OBD2 cable hooked up on wifi and they will remote in and load the tune.

I put a call into TT motorsports but I guess they are closed today. I just read the thread about the guy who got a pulley and tune for $1100 from eurosport. That is what I am looking for...not looking to put a ton of money into this car and just want a little more hp. I am not looking to race and will rarely get on the car heavily. I have owned some pretty fast cars over the years and never broke anything so I am very easy on cars.
Worm: I do understand that it is pretty easily done through the mail. I am waiting for a response from NJ05E55 so I will see what goes on with the local guy and eurocharged. Thanks

Bruce Ttm is the shop in your area. But make sure your car already doesn't have a pulley tune ? Since it may have 2/3 owners already and possibly modded

I sure hope we don't read a thread about how you went to some bozo and your pulley fell off....Take everyone's advice and go to TTM. Consider yourself luck to be close to him

First step:
Afr gauge and data logging.
You got a hell of a deal on the ride, spend some coin on insurance...lol.
And I am pretty sure Bruce uses OE tuning exclusively (my personal favorite but we all no how that goes...lol)
Congrats and good luck.
Edit: I just heard that Jeremy and Bruce got a divorce![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I would be interested to know who does his tuning now??

I would not bother with a crank pulley, get a supercharger pulley and tune and be done with it (if of course you don't find the car was already fitted with a bigger crank pulley). Way more piece of mind, plenty of performance increase, cheaper part and cheaper labor if you don't do it yourself which it is a very easy 30 minute job. Also doing preventative maintaince at the same time since the supercharger pulley bearing wears out and the clutch starts making noise which you are replacing all that with the upgraded smaller pulley. If you still find you HAVE to have more power, you still have headers and big throttle body leaving a good 40whp+ on the table and no added heat of more and more boost from bigger and bigger pullies.
You did say this car is probably temporary, so I wouldn't go to crazy with it! If it ends up being stock, supercharger pulley/tune and done. You will be happy.

I could easily do it myself but I am old and tired and very busy. Would rather pay someone but usually do not like people touching my cars. In this case, it is a plus to have someone touch it, I understand this. Thanks for the advice.

I went to Bruce this morning, real nice guy and knowledgable. I set up to have KN air filters, a cold air kit of some sort and tune. Should wake it up a little bit. Thanks for all the info. guys.
