Anyone familiar with 335i/335xi's or a good alternative? Looking for a good daily.
Looking to spend under 30 grand for a nice daily driver for the next few years. I want something small-mid size and sporty but that can still be driven year round maybe with some snow tires. I am in Chicago so snow is a concern. The E55 is still a bit of a nice weather toy with lower miles and I want to keep it this way.
I have only owned one V6 and it wasn't by choice, and one inline 6 and its a big ol' diesel dually pickup that I'm looking to sell to move to something else. The 30 or so other cars I've owned were all V8's with one V10 mixed it. I think the only way I'd be happier in one of these smaller motored cars would be if it had forced induction. Looking for a bit more luxury and class mixed in with the speed and a bit better fuel economy over a big torquey V8.

I recently swapped my SC300 for a couple days with a freind of mine who has a 335 coupe.
I found very difficult to get comfortable in it. The interior is very crampedl. Even though it has a nice power band and very fast. I actually preferred driving my 15 year old car for a daily.
I think the Lexus IS250 AWD is worth looking at too. Not as fast as the 335i but way more comfortable.
I would look at a EVO or STI as well.

335d - my buddy has one, pulls down 38mpg on trips and the torque is INSANE

The SC is really a comfortable ride for its age. If the SC came with the home market air suspension and or hydraulic suspension like it did in japan. It would ride on rails.
