It should say primary or secondary 02 sensors shouldnt it? I disabled mine (secondaries) and its fine on an e55.
yeah its code 182, called Diagnosis of o2 sensors downstream of twc. would disable it too but only wondering if it would run in open loop all the time.

No dont think so the other 02 sensor set will work as long as you dont disable it to.

thanks. disabled the o2 sensors too earlier today. i must say the engine idled MUCH smoother on cold startups even with only the SAI pump disabled. also set code 242 Abgas - Code, max. Einschaltdauer Sekundaerluftpumpe to unbelegt (means unused)
I can't find it in my system. I see where it shows the programming that is in the system, just dont know how to edit it... I tried to google it, but cant figure it out... :-/
Glad to help. PM if your system is not allowing you to access the coding functions
Please help me it’s saying at least one code setting is invalid.... how do I fix this, if anyone has the answer email me alexdabbaghian@gmail.com please and thanks
Small update, for those that have the stock exhaust system still installed. I would advice against turning off the secondary O2 sensors. Was digging around WIS and found a few very interesting documents about the inner workings of the ME 2.8(.1) control unit. The rear sensors are called the master sensors and are also used to determine fuel corrections.

Agree but I would hope nobody that's turning them off is on the stock exhaust..... Not that it would be the end of the world it just might contribute to ending up with the clogged cat if they arent lighting off correctly.
Most of these emissions controls are frankly BS imo anyway. Secondary AI is purely a way of cheating the system for the automakers so they can claim they meet the specifics of a certain emissions standard.

has anyone pulled this trick with ME97 computer (w204 for a change)?
I am trying to figure out if it's even possible. The setting (sekundarluft diagnose) exists, but since it's xentry online is the only way to access it (no SDS in w204), I am trying to do it with vediamo or dts monaco... and this is where I get stuck. The ME97 computer is supposedly not protected by seed, but does not accept coding. Any ideas how to approach this creature?
Hi, I'm having problems with my secondary air injection, fault is the valves are staying open. I don't have any cats so need for this function. My valves are working, pump is working everything seems fine. I want to delete this function was told its not possible. Are you guys successfully doing this? There also seems to be a bulletin that might address this issue. My vehicle is 2007 clk 63 amg cabriolet, I bought the vehicle with software with cats deleted I'm not sure what software it is. Attached is my fault codes aswell as the bulletin/ recall that i found. I live in south africa Fault Bulletin
Is there any sort of confirmation when this is completed in Xentry? I performed it. It appears to have worked, but after reconnecting. All the lines are just ... within the options to code out.
I posted this sequence that i found online,
I have 2004 SL55, coded out 2nd oxygen sensors, sai.
When i tried to enter page where are all of the options - it gave me error, like it`s not available for read or write, even thou i ran procedure for changing parameters, then i found i near by menu procedure to change modules... it was reading data, when it finished reading and it was one step of that procedure, i exited this procedure and went back to change the list of available options, and at this point it opened it like it should(previouslly was saying Error reading....), I changed options and wrote them. The whole time engine was running. As you understand ECU is ME2.8...
what’s up bro. Pm me I’m in valley stream. You can come by and can use it if needed bro
Hi All,
The tune I have makes all these ready on the computer, but I throw a CEL. Tuner said I needed to code them out. Are there any additional ones I need to disable other than 0176, 0178, 0182 based on the diagnostic information below. Car is a 05 E55 AMG. (All for diag purposes)
Thanks for your help!

I can look up a like to Russian website where the guy put the whole tutorial on how to see what are the options in current car, you can use Google translate. But after I coded out secondary oxygen sensors - it says Not installed or not available on the car. Like an inactive option, what you showed is a option that is active and failed to pass internal ready specs...
