I'm not sure why would you want to install aftermarket HID into original HID???? Anyway, why don't you just clean the lenses you have, buy and install Philips Ultinon 6K (ORIGINALS) and call it a day?! Difference with those bulbs is night and day.

Honestly I/m lost. I have no idea what are you trying to achieve. If you just want to replace HID ballast that is not working just look on ebay for a replacement one. If you dont like the color of your existing bulbs, just changed them to the ones i told you in my previous post.

OEM HIDs are not bright. If you go aftermarket you would have to use STAR to change the setting and then enjoy very bright 55w HIDs.

I don't think you will really fix it, without changing your projector lens. The lens we have are fresnel type, you want to change them to clear lens.

Do you happen to know the part number or where I can find clear lenses? The light output on my car blows I can barely see 10ft in front of me at night. The previous owner put 8000k hid bulbs, I'm planning on switching to some 6000k and see if it helps.

The higher the kelvin the lower the lumens, meaning less usable light. To change the lens you will have do to a DIY custom retrofit. You can purchase and contact The Retrofit Source . com, you will be able to choose from different types of lenses, and custom even the the cutoff of the beam. The Retrofit Source will be better at answering your technical questions.
If you do a search, you will also find some other member who have done this retrofit. The light output is greatly increased, with a great beam pattern.
