Tire Size
So I just put on my new Forgestar wheels. So I got Nitto's and they recommended and I bought 275 35 18 for the rears and 255 40 18 for the fronts. They said if I went with 35's on the front it would mess up the ride. I have been staring at the wheels and it just looks funny to me that I have 35 in the rear and 40 in the front. Thinking about going with 35 in the front also. ![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
Am I just being paranoid about the two sizes?

It's the lower fender lip in back that it messing up your view of it.
Also, just for facts sake, those tire sizes are 10mm wider in both front & rear as well as ¼" taller in the front & rear compared to stock. This won't make a bit of difference, if you're wondering.

The stock size is slightly taller in the front. Stock is approx .25" taller than the rear. Yours is approx .50" taller. 1/4" ain't much. But it is taller.

275/35-18 and 245/40-18's are 25.7" tall
255/40-18's are 26" tall so they are only 0.3" taller.
I would of went with 245/40's unless the wheels are wider than 9" but the 255/40's will be fine. Remember that the "40" is a percent of the width that equals the sidewall height. 245 x 0.40 = 98mm of sidewall height. A 285/40 will have a much taller sidewall than a 225/40 per say.

Typically you will always have a thicker tire up front then on the rear
i.e.
Front 40 & rear 35
or at times you will see a person use the same profile tire all around
Main thing you want to always try and keep close to OEM specs so your tech doesn't get all off
and second to just keep the natural balance of the car in check.
