How does one discover what Desgino colors are available for the E 55?

I would also be interested in a designo package for a new E55. I went to mbusa.com but did not find much in the way of specific details re: designo packages or costs. Is there another place to get this information?

I did not quite understand. Are you implying that the color information I asked for is at mbusa. com. Would you mind sending me the URL. I cannot find a list of colors and designs.

I don't think designo is available for the E55 yet.

I think, designo options are very limited for US market, if you really want something special you will have better luck working with an overseas dealership.

As I understand it, the Designo offerings for 2004 E55 will be the (i) Espresso (which is unlike the one the 2001 -- which I have -- had; the leather is a more washed-out color now and the rich color is retained only for the CL and S classes) and (ii) a slate/greenish-gray color with a gray leather interior.

Little imagination shown here compared to what Designo has available in Europe!

My suggestion is to call MBUSA in New Jersey and ask to be transferred to the AMG marketing department and inquire as to whether they would be willing to send you the paint and leather samples. In my own case, for 2004, I decided on a standard paint color (platinum blue) and leather (gray with blue inserts) combination. The reason for this is that Designo in 2004 is going to be VERY costly (~$10K, I understand).

I will. But I think I will end up following your decision. 10K for paint is a bit too expensive. If I could choose my own completely... maybe OK. But to simply expand my choices!

Thanks, for hte suggestion.
