the perfect E63?
In my search for the perfect E63 or E55 I run across three that I feel i can make a good deal on. Two were for sale by dealers and one from private. I call both dealers and specifically ask both to walk the car with me on the phone. I ask both if there are any flaws on the car, dents scratches dings etc... both rave about how clean the car is and how it looks "brand new". I drive an hour to see both as they were within 15 mins of each other. Much to my surprise when i get there both cars were complete garbage, dents and dings galore. One needed brakes tires and a motor mount. the other has cracked interior wood panels and dried out leather. I tell both dealers that they're either liars or simply not suited to be dealers as anyone can tell their cars were junk. So heading back home o decide to call the private seller, turns out he is literally three minutes away. I meet up with him to see the car and am completely amazed at its condition, this one really looked brand new and trust me as i am very picky. The only disappointment is it didn't have the P1 or P2. Which makes it a base E63, no keyless go, no cooled seats, no nav and no park assist. it didn't even have the darker wood it was the lighter color wood which is really not nice looking to me. I can live without most options as I feel they really aren't necessary, but the one thing i couldn't get used to is the wood. Can i have it replaced and if so how much would it cost. I feel if its feasible then I've found the right car. If anyone wants to avoid those 2 molested E63's let me know i'll provide a link via PM.

This place is a joke.
The wood can be replaced...but it will cost thousands. A better option is to have it wrapped in carbon or silver vinyl, or paint it which will require it to be removed and reinstalled.

Or you could wrap the wood in carbon fiber vinyl and then trade somebody here on the board for the dark wood out of their car. Might be a lot cheaper to wrap than replace.
Or a simpler method could be to trade someone plus the cash needed for professional wrap. I suspect you would find some takers.
