Hey guys what Throttle body could be used off a different mercedes that will slap right on our supercharger snouts and that is a plug and play as well??

chime in if you have any thoughts as far as what car has it year and such so i can dig deeper and see if i can come a corss one. There is a guy down here that has a junk yard and he usually gets all kinds of benzes and i can see if he might have one for me...

None of the 82mm tb are plug and play. The MB ones will let you plug the tps harness in without any modification. All of the 82mm tb need to modify the sc inlet to make them work.

i dont mind about the snout work i will have an adapter that will work and bore the snout as well... my question is what car had the 82mm tb

I'd be really surprised if a junkyard sold you just a throttle body, unless the engine was half crushed in the wreck and they were selling it in pieces. Usually they want to sell the engine whole

any 550 will have a 82mm TB

i just got a text back from the yard he has a 2008 cls550 tb on hand $350 should i go for it

Any of the older 550 models...most yards will sell the TB separate as they typically sell the engines as long block only with no accesories including the TB. I have already found a used 82mm TB for about $300 from a scrap yard

Now bought myself a 82mm TB from Daimler. Will do this asap, however do i really have to disassemble the SC inlet and thus removing the SC from the car? I actually would want to avoid that.

yes you have to take it off, theres no way around it, did you also buy the plenum or else you will have to hack up and weld on the stock plenum

anyone know where i can get the wire for the tb. i sold mine and couldnt take off the wire because it was glued on with the jaws of life
