As in which temperature of bulb? Are you going to use a projector lens so you're not blinding oncoming traffic?
90% of OE temperatures are 4300k. Stay between 4000k-5000k and you'll be happy.

4300k is a color match for OEM. 6000k is a totally different color. Remember the fogs have a refective housing and a not a projector lense so the color of the illumination will appear a bit different.

i went with DDM tuning kit and they were pretty straight forward install other than having to drill one hole in the back of the main headlight housing, but the fogs required no modification

Hold on I think the fog is a 9006 not a H7
I went with Apex Cone no fault codes work great 5 years.

Ok my bad, 55s have 9006-9007 they did change, so you are most likely correct.
The Apex Cone is now the DDM brand they work well with no errors.

U can not put hids into the e63 fog without modding it. I learned the hard way. The bulb is an h7 but it plugs into a weird base that screws into the foglight housing and that is where the connector is at. Go take a look for urself. Very ez to take off. And dont let the e55 with e63 conversions trick u. Their fog set up is different from the oem e63 setup
