2004 E55, 83k mi, clean title excellent condition inside and out. It has all options minus the pano. It is the dark blue color on chrome factory wheels with new ps2's and brakes. No documentation of maintenance history though before purchase the car will be fully inspected.

$22.5 otd, thoughts, opinions, comments?

I've always liked the e55, and after the 03 came out there was a period of time I dreamt of owing one. I do realize there are lower mileage 211's to be had at lesser cost although they are a distance away and unfortunately a private party transaction isn't exactly within my ability at this time ( I have about $10k to put down but haven't enough credit to get say an $8k loan). With the obvious being said I've seen dealership's asking 22.5 and up with comparable mileage before otd. TIA

This place is a joke.
Sounds a bit pricey for an '04. I know you mentioned it, but definitely get a PPI at an authorized dealership, not the one you are buying it from. Also ask them to remove the fuel pump access covers and check for fuel leaks. A bad tank can cost you 3k+.

That's a bit pricey, when I was looking a couple of months ago I came across an 04 with 84k miles for $16,900 dealer only went down to $16,500 it had all the service records. I didn't end up buying it because I wasn't 100% sure I liked the color.

Also consider fuel mileage, premium only @ $4/gal.. If you will be driving it every day, or commuting the gas$$ will be signifigant. The E55 will pass most everything on the road except a gas station. I average about 12mpg city and 19mpg highway.

Thanks for the tank info, I was never aware of that issue.

Yea I've been going back and forth about the cost, the plus to waiting awhile longer and buying one privately: records, and if I could be lucky as to find one with existing warranty I'd have all the more piece of mind while pushing it. But on the other hand I have yet to own a car of this magnitude so needless to say I do have the monkey on my back urging me to go for it.

Decisions decisions...

2011 G55 + others
price seems in line with the market and mileage especially since the price is OTD(assuming the car is selling for closer to 20k before tax) as well as the fact that it has new new tires and brakes. Those 2 alone are at least $1600 before labor is factored in(for the brakes)... jump on it if it's clean and passes PPI.

good luck.

appreciating the feedback! The color was -$130 or so on edmunds but my favorite color is blue so a plus for me although I like that light blue. I'm thinking about it still and of course still shopping. Yea they were asking 22.5 before tax etc.
