of course you have to bore out your original snout to match the 82mm tb and plate...

the bolts bolt right on the plate... if you want to make the bolts fit on the new snout youd have to re drill new holes on ur snout as well, the way am doing it i am having it all lined up perfect to the plate and simply welding the adapter plate to the SNOUT and than the Throttle body will bolt with bolts on the plate...

please reefer to the pictures below of how a fellow member also did it whos name is kjlindgr and am sure he doesnt mind sharing the pics as well,
https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...ttle-body.html

Fitment is perfect. Idle is perfect.
Part number of the OEM TB

aluminum plate and started making the adapter plate needed to fit onto the stock supercharger snout:

Using a hole-saw, I cut the throttle body inlet hole undersized, just to remove most of the meat:

Then used a boring bar to bore the hole to size:

Here's the finished product with holes drilled and tapped:

Here's the stock supercharger snout. I cleaned it up a little and removed all the miscellaneous fittings and other fun-buttons:

A good visual to see what 74mm looks like compared to 82mm:

I made a little jig to hold the snout at the right angle and got busy with the boring bar again. Indexable carbide cutters rule:

Tack welded onto the newly bored supercharger snout:

All done:

Errrr, i do believe after my researches that this kit is only suited for the 74mm TB.
Can anyone post the correct Number for a whole Y-Pipe Kit, fitting for the 82mm TB?

If your going thru the hassle to do all that why not just buy a OEM 80mm unit that flows way better than the stock 74mm inlet and have material welded on and drilled to make a flush mount inlet? Seems like you would have the same amount of time and money for a better product???

Number ends in 912 instead of the 74mm number that ends in 412.

I have now read that its 113 090 03 29 for the correct 82mm:

I wonder that too. I'm not even sure there actually was a SC Snout that had 82mm stock...I think one would need to buy the 80mm and bore it a bit.
However im not sure if the bolt pattern/offset of the MB 82mm TB will still fit on a bored-out 80mm Snout.

I'm really confused here as there seems to be no solid information written in one single thread.

EDIT: Here is what i mean. Bolt-holes are misaligned even on the 80mm SC-Snout:

i dont really see what your confused about, its as straight forward as it gets.

1. If you use your OEM snout you will bore it out and use the adapter plate.

2. if you use 80mm snout you still have to bore it out to 82mm and you have to DRILL and make one hole on the snout to make the tb align up, thats if your worried so much about welding a adapter plate on the OEM snout.

3. either way will work but the stock snout is a cheaper way to do it, even if you weld it on. That thing aint never coming off again as it will probably never have the need to, and you still can take the Throttle body on and off should you need to.

bottom line that's what it is!! its doable both ways its your choice and your money. Doing it the OEM snout you dont have to go looking and buying another snout i dont know how much they are but than again you would still have to bore out the 80mm as well=more money and than you have to thread one hole on the snout and you'll pretty much end up with the same exact setup as doing it with the stock snout. my .02 cent

good luck

I see. My comment was more about the part Nr issues (Y pipe etc).
What still boggles my mind is the fitment issue of the stock Filter housing when using such an adapter plate. Will yours (what is the thickness again in mm?) fit without such an issue?

Do you have an idea; if the E55 74mm snout bolt-pattern are the same of the 55 N/A bolt-pattern,

if so, that will be great mod., to the M112s & M113s N/A.....
