Just wondering if anyone runs 255/40/R18 in front ? I was reading a thread in which a gentleman switched size up to aforementioned and saw improved time on his laps
or 255/35/R18 ? FYI: roads are really really bad here. I've cracked two rims.
It's time to change my Pirelli's from the front and wondering if anyone runs this size ?
What's the biggest size I can go in the front without rubbing while turning ?
I am in the process of changing all my tires, I decided to go with 275/35/18 in the rear for a beefier look and they seem to work just fine, no spacers needed.
This morning I got the front tires and to my surprise I order 255/40/18 instead of the original 245/40/18 this was not intentional as I was concerned with fitment.
I wanted to ask if anyone is running 255/40/18 tires in the front and if there are any fitment issues or spacers needed as I do like the look of the tires and I don't want to go thru the hassle of returning/exchanging.
I am also fairly new to the forum but I have done a couple of upgrades to the car, mostly cosmetic, including (front carbon fiber canards, lower chin spoiler, led emblem, android tesla screen and others. I would love to showcase and get opinions on some of these as well.)
I run a 245/35-19 in front with a 275/30-19 rear, but I don't see any reason that a 255/40-18 will not work for you as front tires.
They should fit without any issues. But if you are concerned about it, send them back. They will be accepted as long as you haven't mounted them.
