have you checked your radiator for leaks? your last post sounds like you have a spraying leak

the LAST thing I'd do is DYNO a car that's blowing white smoke... may as well just take a hammer to the engine - good luck

Radiator has been checked... Since we know where the coolant seems to go, may as well check it again tho.

Kinda thought i'd skip the dyno till i get everything else checked. Going to the shop early next week... Feels like this thing spent more time there then on my garage.

Oookey, some update.

Still down on power, revs jumpy at idle, coolant-level seems to stay AND they say "its perfectly fine"

The local shop added something thats supposed to seal off "potential leaks" as in like f**king superglue?! It was called "Forte... Something", anyone heard of anything like that?

And now since "its perfectly fine" the dealer sent a TEXT MESSAGE saying he aint paying a coin more. Didnt even have the ***** to call me. For my luck the law is on my side here. Still, "it aint perfectly fine", im driving a friggin time-bomb on wheels and more miles i put on it the more the dealer can claim ive caused the problem. And i need a car, lots.

Also missed a season-opening track-day = nerdrage.

Hopefully whatever he poured in there didn't just clog up your radiator, intercooler, heat exchanger, heater core etc. you get the picture. it sucks that you can't find anyone knowledgeable in Finland to work on it.

Ive heard about products like these, they work long enought for anyone to think its ok and boom...

Once this is over the dealer wont sell anything but french fries. Lucky for me, he sold of the car i traded in, if this goes to county court he owes me more money then what i paid for my house. Even so, i'd still take one of these in working shape.

So much for "a car of my dreams"

UPDATE! - Dyno run

Week old motor-oil, transmission oil, rear-dif oil, same with air-filters. Dyno-mode on. "perfect conditions" and good cooling:
1 run: 417HP / 567NM
2 run: 403HP / 635NM

145k KM in the clock.

Coolant level seem to be stable and only minor vibrations noticable on low revs / idle. None while driving. No oddities during the run. Felt fine afterwards too.

I would have expected more. Question is, how much should i be looking at with this milage? Clearly there is something wrong.

Jeah, the not-supercharged version.

Factory ficures are 476BHP and 700NM of torgue. Ive seen a E55 give more then that and it was 20k miles and year old at the time. CLS and E run on same engine.

No, that sounds pretty solid for the stock supercharged version. You may want to learn the difference between WHP and BHP.

Considoring ive seen en E55 hit the mark of 475 WHP in a dyno... Was 20k KM on it, about six months old car. 99% sure it was perfectly factory standard.

Either you are mistakening WHP numbers for some kind of corrected calculation of a number, or the car that made 475 WHP was certainly modified.

Hmm. Well, there is that 1% and i cant say if it were somehow calculated in the dyno-software. It was different then what was used to dyno mine.

Theres still the odd difference in torque. We let her cool off a bit before the second run.

Theres a large bus-garage nearby with HUGE empty space around it. I happen to own the land AND the building so no-one can really mind what i do there and i've let the local law-enforcement know that if anyone does call them about ppl destroying their tires there at night that it is fully allowed ^^
Locals call it "drift-garage" and i dare say the police like it that they do it there and not in the streets.

Anyway, putting the car into a slide is very "wierd" as sometimes it feels it has bazillions of power and then just "dies" and sometimes i need to pummel the pedal all the way down to the kickdown just to get the rear off... I know the ESP cant be fully turned off unless in dyno mode but ive even ran it in dyno mode and still theres oddities.

As much as it pains me, i just cant keep that car. If something goes pop i dont have a place to fix it in and just recently heard a single new heads with labour would cost me 7000€+

I quess this is it for me and AMG-cars. I doubt i'l find well kept one with plenty of optionals like this and new V8-model AMGs go close to 300k€ mark stock and plenty over it with good optional extras... And like i said, they dont live long enough to reach open markets.

UPDATE!! :

Found a shop willing to pull the darn thing apart but im forced to pay it untill something is found or the leak stops after re-assembly. Thats 4000€ worth of labour alone at the moment.

Just came from the shop and after seeing the heads being lifted off. Ive seen engines before but damn that thing is art and not just a machine!
Allmost "sadly" no external damage was found. All pistons seem normal and identical, none are clear of burn-residues what would happen if coolant/water went into there if im not mistaken.

The gasket-seal was seemingly OK but i must say i have seen better ones and i doubt anyone can tell if it really was the gasket or what...
Heads AND the kompressor are going to a pressure-test today or early next week, none show signs of any damage from outside. Valves seemed OK also.

Also i find the gasket-seal a bit flimsy'ish, is there a better "aftermarket-option" aviable? This car will be driven like an AMG should be, in the track, hard and fast so if the seal is an future issue, then i'd prefer to eliminate such issue now.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now help me please! Since the engine is in pieces, now is the time to tell me what to look for, anything, EVERYTHING!

No, the NA 5.5s in the old E55s put out around 350HP. And as far as 476 HP, that's at the crank. You need to figure driveline loss of around 18% or whatever and your numbers are looking right.
