will this work for E63

looking for X pipe for my E63. Found this and some other on local CL. Will this work or should i simply have it made at a muffler shop. I'm considering this in place of my secondary cats. what effect will have on sound? only reason is my tune is coming and would like to maximize HP with tune. thanks

i'd have a shop just do it if i were you and not purchase that part, but if you're just looking for sound delete the resonator and see how you like it.

i saw your post on my thread asking about performance gains and the 11WHP on the dyno. 417WHP is no joke and the factory 406WHP is higher than W211 E63's usually yield. so i was okay with the 417WHP. after that run, i went back to the performance shop and deleted the charcoal filters and that's when i got on it and actually felt the power difference and the change in power bands. the tune does more than just top power gain, it gives more power throughout different power bands. the throttle is a bit sharper as well. i will not speak for eurocharged, but contact them and see what they say before you go with anyone else you have no experience with IMO. cheers.

Too late for that as I've already ordered EC time and am hoping it was the right way to go. I thought i read somewhere that sock 63 makes 420hp at the wheel. Thanks for the input.

I'm actually considering this for more power rather than sound. I understand removing the secondaries adds more power thus maximizing the tune.

Most X pipes made by exhaust shops do more harm than good, and are too far back in the exhaust.
