You should ask your vendor if there's a charge, but being this is obviously a manufacturing defect I doubt they would.
I'd suggest sending yours in to confirm it is the updated pulley.

I guess I have the old style, just inspected it carefully and no issues, rivets and springs look OK, gap is still around .5 mm. Car drives fine, I beat the crap out of it and put around 10k miles on the pulley since installation. The only thing I noticed is there's a decent amount of red dust, I'm hoping that's normal wear material from engaging/disengaging? Belt wrap kit probably helps too...knock knock.

Looks like my EC pulley is coming apart now...the metal spring that blew apart shredded a hose and gouged up two of the ASP pulleys. I noticed a while back there was no more gap, the springs were obviously on their way out. Going to either replace the springs or the entire pulley assembly.

Sorry to see this happen to your car. I would contact the person you purchased it from. Be careful with the solid pulley too. Don't want you to run into more problems.

Out of curiosity, when did you install your pulley, and how many (approximate) miles on the car since the installation? What type of driving would you say you've done with this pulley?

THANKS for any clarification

The pulley was installed maybe a year and a half ago when Eurocharged offered the package deal with tuning. I've put maybe 15k miles on it since installation and have had a belt wrap kit and ASP pulleys most of that time. The pulley has been awesome, performance wise, but now the gap/clearance is gone and the springs are failing. I drive my car very hard, lots of street racing and WOT pulls. I'm leaning toward replacing the springs at this point, haven't decided yet.

I spoke with Shardul today and even though I didn't purchase the pulley from him, he is helping me to resolve this matter. I will also install the 4th and 5th ASP pulleys when I swap out the S/C pulley, so will kill two birds at once. When more people are running the FSP and the tuning is dialed in, I may switch to the 77mm. Car is still a beast with this clutch pulley.

The metal around the rivet looks distorted?

Not sure if anyone else's pulley does this but the gap on mine changes constantly. It goes from almost touching to way too large from one drive to the next. Not sure if that's normal.

That red dust is the clutch material. How many shims are you running? A feeler gauge set is cheap. Get one and check that gap.

What has Shardul's/EC's policy been on a replacement?

my first s/c pulley springs broke in two places and had 4-5k miles on it less than a year. I did purchase from him and did get a replacement and returned the damaged one back to him.

He replaced it no problem.. The first ones had different springs than the ones today, that's why mine broke.. Knock on wood, no problems with the new one and it has alot more miles on it... Good luck

I purchased one recently but it looks that I received one of the old models which come with small rivets , below some pictures, is there a chance that my pulley already has these new springs? If not how the new springs looks like?
