So driving home from work i went to accelerate to get on the highway and it popped into neutral and had to pull over and restart the car. Like I expected it drove home in limp mode (stuck in 3rd). So went ahead and just ordered all my parts for $265 which I thought was a pretty good deal including shell ATF 134 fluid.

I guess ill just have to drive my E34 work in progress for the next few days

Did you get a transmission code? Reason being, I just changed mine and I got a p0715. I also changed my TCU and tranny service.
