Has this happened to anyone else
thought I would do a couple of pulls today before I install my mods to see the difference before and after. I am going to dyno before and after as well but wanted to do some driving logs also. Anyway I noticed something weird that has never happened before. Car is currently bone stock powertrain wise. I did a bunch of pulls from a stand still up to 60, 100 & 140 mph. After my first run I stopped and went to do my second run and the car would not launch hard at all felt like it went into limp mode. So I shut the car off restarted it and tried again pulled good again but when I stopped and tried to do another run same thing. I can only do 1 pull and it feels like it goes into limp mode and I need to shut the car off and start it again for it to be back to normal. I tried it with the traction control on and off in drive and in manual mode and got the same response every time. No codes or warning lights and also scanned with star and no fault codes that I could see. What could this be? I parked the car and disconnected the battery and I am going to let it sit a few hours with it disconnected and then try it again. Not sure if this will fix it or not.

Sounds like she's getting hot. Can you log your IAT's? It would be great to have them before and after your mods. With my current set up I get one good pull before she gets hot and in reality that's not even a good pull bc she'll reach 120+ deg on that first pull.

If its hot I would think that it would still do it even after I shut it off and re start it and do another pull right away. I never let the car cool down just shut off start and go again and it pulls hard but only for 1 pull.

Why does it run fine when I shut the car off and start it again? That really isn't enough time to cool it down. It could be the pump and I was going to change it anyway but I find it hard to beleive that it's the pump. I could be wrong.

bad ic pump. it only takes a few seconds to cool off so by the time you pull over and shut off then restart, it cools enough to work okay again ... for one pull.
replace your pump and you should be good to go.

I will be changing the IC pump anyway when I install all the mods so hopefully that is it. I haven't had a chance to look into it further the last few days. I am going to order the pump this week. I had a CM30 on my CL65 and seemed to work fine. Should i go with CM30 again, meziere or Bosch ?

Seems the CM30 isn't favored by many lately. The latest bosch offering seema to be a good quality part from what I've read. After research that's the one I went for and its been good to ne for a few K miles so far.
