Every tint ticket I've gotten has been from CHP.....here's an old pic of a cool shot I got, he still gave me the tint ticket though

Funny you should say that as CHP has left me alone on my frequent trips to San Diego and Long Beach. Local cops however were staking out La Brea just north of Wilshire Blvd and got me and bunch of other people for tint and tag fix it tickets.

LOL yeah it really sucks...Sure you can get hassled, but nothing too severe....as for plates and emission stuff - the east coast is not much better. The south and a few Midwest states have some lax laws, but I would take the better weather and stricter laws any day .

I got a tint ticket in HB...cost me ~$200 (to remove, signoff, and reinstall)....pain in the *** - yes...worth moving, no...
