Thanks for posting, your shorty headers aren't worth much HP, especially at highway speeds...some Kleemanns or long tubes would have made this race even better. And a throttle body, you may have won.

I'll run my car at the track one of these days and see what it does. things start to get expensive modding past this stage plus I wanna leave it as stock as possible. the camera man did comment on the dynamic seats and how the car looks good rolling low lol. obviously he was very surprised how fast the old grandpa car is. I think the most important thing here is I came through with video, I know you guys doubted me haha.

Not to bad, what did the weather end up being like when you did the runs? Weather in these cars, especially with a pulley in the 180 size range can make or break you. When I had a 180 my car was ridiculous when it was 50* out but felt like a turd when it was 80* out.

it was 70degrees. there is no doubt those gt500 are fast as ****. I would say in order to possibly keep up you would need to be able to trap 125mph in quarter. there lighter than the 55 have amazing gearing and 6spd. it's a highway monster. no doubt the outcome would have been different from a dig, that's where.driver error comes into play. from a decent roll speed, forget about it.

That GT500 needs a driver mod BAD. I've rode in a 2013 GT500 and can honestly say they pull harder than my car did. The 2nd ride I went for was after full exhaust,pulley,intake and tune with drag radials and that car is in another league than the E55's. they have gone well into the 9's with simple bolt ons. Another car with a built engine,kenne bell 3.6l and stock trans just went 8.90's at 160.

I am sure it will be hard to find any that are stock so you were lucky there. Just so easy and cheap to do a tune on them or tune/pulley/throttle body for what it cost just for big throttle body kit in the E55. Then the E55 doesn't have a chance at all.

RedBulljnky & lowprofile: How might your cars fair against a stock 13 GT500? Based on your signature times my guess is that you both should win rather easily. Furthermore, I saw the video posted of RedBulljnky car down in Mexico going toe-to-toe with a ReNNtech bi-turbo E63 and you kept up pretty good in all the races and nearly won one the first race. I was really impressed!

I did the Mustang thing in the late 80's and 90's and the were easy to make super fast than and a lot easier and much much cheaper to modd now.. Their one of the best car's to make a drag race monster . A GT 500 is in a different league I agree , but fit finish and long lasting quality FORGET it. All you need to do is drop a gear in it, performance tune, intake, throttle body, headers or no headers , pullies and it's on and that's a none supercharged car no less a supercharged car . Another thing if this guy is some kid or really no experience with this car in different situations I WOULD not race him on any STREET or highway with other cars around...... BE CAREFUL take it to abandon road or to the STRIP . The video is nice but that wasn't the time and place to OPEN up these cars.
