Wrecked CL55 For Sale

You maintained it religiously and put a lot of time/money into her (your words) so why not keep it?
I'm not sure I follow your logic because you say you took care of it so well and it's worlds above the other 215 examples on the market/coming into the dealers ...
Were you planning to sell the car before the accident? If not, I can't wrap my mind around why you would sell it and not just fix it - from the sounds of your post, it's just body damage, i.e. no engine, suspension, frame etc.
PS Is your friend an idiot or was he drunk or both?
+1 just fix it and drive it. If mechanically so well taken care, just fix it for $3k and drive it for 3 more years then you can still sell it for $9K. Good luck !
He is not an idiot, he just made mistake.
I have a chance to buy a house now that I have 0 debt, and figured now is the time to do so. These cars turn in to money pits because I can not stand to drive around in something that is not fixed to my standards and I do not want to spend the time or money any more.

You are wrong. You were also wrong about me getting 6 grand for it.
You can call it polymer if that makes you feel better about a 100,000+ dollar car.
