E63 vs F430?

A friend of mine just ran an F430 Spyder last Friday night from a 70mph roll to ~145. He has a '13 GT with just K&N and axle-back mufflers. He claims he pulled on him the first time and hung dead even the second. Sounds kinda odd to me.

Pretty sure the F430 runs a 12.0 (or very near it) from the factory... Convertible might be slightly slower, so 12.2 assuming he gets a perfect launch. I raced an E63 at Bowling Green last year, and the best he could do was 12.7 (but he had zero traction, 2.2xx 60' times). I won every race, but our trap speeds were identical.
Race the F430 from a dig and see what happens! Your torque should give you an advantage. On paper, I should have lost to the 2009(?) M6 Cabriolet that I raced, but I nailed the launch and beat him at last year's half-mile competition. He was surprised that I won, but a good sport.

Seems that I would probably lose the race but hoping his horrible driving will award me the win as my driving skills are superior. Originally when we discussed the race we were to race for pink slips but I have just one condition, race with 4 adults in the car LOL. Let's see when this race is gonna happen. I will post videos from my iPhone.

Race for pink slips? Throw some mods on there quick including a 200 shot of nitrous, race till you win and blow the engine. Scrap the E class, keep the rarri. Profit.

If I believed there was any chance of him giving up the pink slip I'd be throwing twin turbos on my ride but this is an old friend which I know very well, chances are he'll back out of the race when he realizes it'll cost him an extra gallon of gas.

Ya ok, I bet there are a lot more stock ones out there then modified. I've walked one on the freeway, but my car is barely modified so it must have been a fluke.

I think you'd get a Porsche 996 or 997 TT on the freeway (you E55 modded guys) I've done a pull against a stock 997TT in my E63 a few weeks ago and it was pretty close, he didn't pull on me all that hard. They're like the 09'-11' GTR's with their mid-range power stock.
