Sounds like a tire was popped in driveway / airmatic ?
Had car in driveway today pointing downhill a bit. Heard this super loud pop and air whooshing sound. Driver side shock is collapsed. The rest are all fine. How do I check to see if the entire shock needs to be replaced or f its something else ? I did also get the warning saying car was too low and to stop driving when I started the car up.

Good info guys thank you. It is the front driver not the rear. I found it for $450 shipped plus $200 core. Pretty cheap. Not sure I want to hassle with the swap. I dont enjoy working on cars anymore. Must be getting old . How long is the install for a front one anyway ? If its like an hour job I'll be happy to pay the $100 to my local guy. He is walking distance.

So if labor at the dealer is $300, then guy down the street should be able to do it for him for about half then??? Lol

For $150 I'll have him do it. I have gotten to where I love having people do work on my cars now. Its like magic almost just having it all done and my hands have no bloody knuckles.

Update, paid $450 plus core for new strut and $200 for the install. Car is back to its wonderful self. Really surprises me these cars dont have some kind of safety feature or something that atleast lets you safely drive the car home. $90K car ..... Pretty bad IMO
