e63 & winter...

e63 & winter...
those of you who own an e63 in any area which experiences more snow than you actually want... how well does your e63 handle (or not) in the winter months?
i am contemplating purchasing an e63 wagon and am curious to see how others feel (read: real world experience) about this particular car and not some generic auto reviews i have found on the typical car blogs or from the auto-rags.
obviously i would install winter wheels and tires but i would like to know if studded tires are over-kill or a must and if i should not even bother pulling this one out of the garage and just use the Q7.

i always go with dunlop wintersport... never had an issue before but the cars i've owned that were rwd were not as powerful or "torquey" as an e63...

My s600 makes damn near 800ft lbs and when I used to drive it in the snow it was fine. Even drag raced a escalade from a stop light in the snow and walked away from it. 
he was spinning all 4. 
I used Michelin x ice and loved them. I now use them on my ml and even though there 5 years old, they still work great.

northeast with winter snowboard trips in rural areas (spring summer gets the surfboard and beach trips hence the need for wagon along with gear for family members)... majority of the roads are a salt/sand mix but not regularly traveled. i have an suv as mentioned before but i like to enjoy the cars i own year round and not be their fair weather friend.
