Chawkins winning drag run at Timmayfest
as an example the buckhead m5 dynod over 650 rwhp and could only manage a 12.0 @ 127 mph. i ran 1/100 slower than craig on my street tires.
this is a just for fun private event. most of the bmw cars there rarely race and some have never been on a track so it gives them a chance to have fun the way we do every week.
I thought that some special ed student that goes by the name shellurt had the record in his, LOL, SLS
Again GREAT job my friend and I owe you a beer!!

I ran my SL there at my first Timmayfest 3 years ago, then decided never again. Not sure if they're still there but there were legit pot holes in the left lane past the traps. You guys don't understand.... you might as well be dirt track racing. It's a hella fun time, and the track would literally let you run with people hanging on the hood of your car if you wanted.
Congrats, Craig. I'm not calling it the winning drag race award though, I'm gonna call it the "I went the quickest without dying award"
Well done.

I guess no one read my first post correctly, there was a deer on the track that had to be avoided at 120mph on the big end. Had that deer decided to run the wrong way, it could have been game over. Thankfully that was the only one for the day.
It was quickest ET that won the event Brooke. As you can see in my run, I really did not have time to build my RPM and really test the stall. I was building it to just over 2000rpms and bam the tree started counting down. I took off, I could not let Jasons 700rwhp M5 beat me lol. That was our first race against each other, and I wanted bragging rights
ON the street I would be looking at his tail lights indefinitely. The other fellas that had drag radials there were cutting 2.0 60 fts just as a guage. I cut a best of 1.74 with slicks
just to give you an idea how rough this track is
just to give you an idea how rough this track is
Now I understand , damn!
Congrats Craig !

I installed the AMG placard on my supercharger, so maybe I'll be able to fool them into thinking I'm running an SLK32 next year.
