You gotta do a full 3rd gear pull that looks like a very short 3rd gear pull

Yeah, that was at the local 1/8th mile track. I'm in the process of updating my DashDAQ now. Having a weird licensing error with some of my components and my logging capability is limited now.

You don't need the track
Get on the highway late when no one is around
And do a long 3rd gear pull til 6k at least

Your boost will prolly be 14psi

130ish.

Also you are seeing 16psi because your IAT's are 160. When you get them down the boost will come down with it. I see alot of fuel being dumped and no doubt timing too so I'd take care of that too.

Yes was going to post about that
You need serious cooling since that is only 1/8 mile by the end of a 1/4 mile you could easily be at 200*

What's your cooling bro?

that was my old pump that was on it's way out. I am now rocking a sweet heavy-duty Meziere that is wired for always-on action. I think this was also before my system was split. It's much better now.

A free used Bosch from Jerry. My old pump died on his dyno and we had to swap it to finish the tuning. It was a long day. Jerry is the man.

Going to see World War Z with Bramage tonight. Maybe we can do some late night pulls... down in Mexico, since we are so close.

Did a run. Temps are still high. This was a third-gear pull going up a hill with a pretty significant grade, which probably didn't help since it took longer to get up to speed. 64 degrees out and 200-400 ft above sea level:

Your pulley configuration is close to 191mm, when I had a 195mm with a trunk tank , split cooling and heat exchanger, I would see around 170* on pulls all the time. Only way to get that down is with meth homey.

Probably losing quite a bit of power with those high intake temps especially in that cool weather too. Lower timing, richer mixture and power out the window.

I'm going to try a run on a flat road if I can find a spot, but it looks like meth will be in my future.

How do you have your cooling setup
It's actually possible that the mez is hurting your cooling

With his pulley set up I say these IAT's are absolutely normal. I data log on the same stretch of road and have seen 180+ on a run up to 130ish...

I see a lot of people discussing IATS and making suggestions, but I never see any data logs. If any of you guys have data logs from 60-130, post them up. I'd like to see what you guys are seeing.

I don't see speed on this run, but I assume it was 1/4 mile or better.. and 167F at the top of a quarter mile is about as good as you are going to get without an ice tank, KC or Meth.

SO POST YOUR DATA LOGS ALREADY!!!

the other thing you can do is switch some hoses around... I think my IAT at 130MPH here was around 79F (75F ambient)...

Dane what psi does your meth come on at, and what do you have your max psi set at on the control box? Dennis IATs imo are spot on for no trunk tank, actually I think they are pretty good.

You can see the ecu dumping fuel to cool it down further, and timing been pulled but that will be corrected with meth. I would do meth first before a trunk tank if you don't frequent tracks much and like highway runs.

That could be due to the tune. Jerry put a real soft tune on there since it was a fresh engine swap. There's more on the table.
