I'm with chiromikey I made the scoops in about 1.5 hrs with sheet metal tin snips and a rivet gun ,all of which I had laying around,it's simple make templates with cardboard ,and by the way after testing gains in qtr mile 0 so before you spend $$$$$ just my experience with intake scoops on an 03 SL55, I also made some runs with NO AIR-FILTERS gain 0 a little noise from super charger but that's it

My car has trapped as bad as 112mph and as good as 120.x with no changes at all other than differences in weather and differences in time sitting in the pits before running again. And then even on the same day/night at the track it has changed 2 or 3mph between runs and same with ET. There is no way in hell I could put something as minimal as a little scoop directing air in to my already forced induction car and say they actually do anything.

I tested mine the same day within 2 hrs same weather same spot,same 60 fts , 0 th 60 mph s ,et s and trap speeds on my g tech , no gain,
However I do agree for no reason my car will run plus or minus 2 to 3 mph and a tenth here or there off

I can't comment on your car's performance or your techniques but my set-up was dialed in and all my gains were well documented on the dyno and at the track. As long as track prep and d/a was consistent, I could run near identical times over and over. Evan got even better results with a larger scoop and his car was even more consistent than mine.
If you don't believe that any increase in ram-air effect will help then don't bother with them. If you do, these are cheap and easy to make yourself so unlike other mods, they won't have cost you a fortune if you don't see any gains.

Bruce has gone MIA, I know because I was in NYC, had some people try to locate the guy, he doesn't answer any calls or replies to any emails, he is rarely at his shop, apparently.

Wow this is one horror story for sure. I couldn't even imagine if something happend like that to me no bull**** that guy would have a hit out for him, I wonder if anything was ever resolved!? Jesus christ this guy Bruce needs to burn in hell... Very upsetting story here sorry to the op that this happend..
