Hi guys ~

Just wondering if anyone of the forum has perfomed this DIY.

My car is a w211 -e63 and in need of replacing intake manifold vacuum hose

with "Blue" check valve .

My friend who is a German auto mechanic told me , during removing the

hose that is one connected from the engine side is held by three plastic

clamps. He told me if not causious plastic clamp can pushed into the

intake and worst senario it can even go all the way to cylinder.

Which seems like a hell for $12 hose replace DIY .

Would like some advice inperforming this replace. Any one who knows

some tips I'll be appreciated.

So far I was told by mech frined, the easiest way is to slie up the hose

so I can peel them off. But I just have no idea how the plastic clamp

looks like so I'm stuck . I also ended up snapping one of the outlet

on the change over valve. Damn it !!!! Costed me additional $40.

Word of advice !! Alway use a sharp knife to slice up the hose !!! Dont try

to yank it ! Otherwise I garentee you'll break the plastic parts!!!
