I installed a BoYO VTL375HD and a Wifi camera transmitter. (http://www.4ucam.com/iphone-android-...up-Camera.html)
You can basically use your iPhone or android phone as backup camera screen.
I have to say this works perfectly! I just place my phone on my ash tray when I reverse. It fits perfectly and I get constant video feed.
You can actually purchase the 12V adapter for the back instead of tapping into any wires.

Where in the trunk was the 12 volt plug? Is the 12volt at the plug switched with the car accessories or does it go on only when the car is in reverse?
I wonder where I can buy the 12volt plug so I can utilise this power outlet for a reversing camera.

I am about to purchase one of these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Veyron-VC-...-/280920841044
I will install it into the existing space where one of my number plate lights are and run the power so it switched on with the reverse lights so it will only power up when my car is in reverse. I will then add the video input to the spare rca yellow input I already have in my trunk. My car is an Australian model and has 2 spare a/v inputs on the trunk mounted tv tuner (yellow/red/white) to allow for Aux 1 and Aux 2 to the front Command video screen. All I will need to do when reversing is select "VIDEO" and "AUX 1" from my head unit and the reverse camera should display on my factory screen.
Wish me luck!

Cheap and worked really well. It means drilling a hole in the trunk iid unfortunately but looks pretty good when installed and quality is decent. Just need to make sure that you drill in the right place ... not too close to the rear handle mounting bolts. I drilled mine too close at first but managed to fix it.

I just went out and checked on the actual direction of my reverse camera.
I can see the house across the street from me, so I believe that my camera is most certainly positioned correctly.
Maybe the manufacturer had revised some changes and I have a newer model?

Whilst not 100% certain I think I have the NTG1.
I am under the impression that NTG2.5 has an SD card slot on the front of the head unit and I do not have an SD card slot.

I purchased a coding box to unlock the feature of the NTG2.5 along with VIM. If you are close we can use it on your car to unlock your camera feature. Note that it will unlock but not give you the VIM since that has to be constantly connected to the headunit. But if you are looking for the back up camera feature this would do it for ya.

THANK YOU FOR OFFERING

I should have my camera installed by this weekend.
One question for you, where did you mount the camera? I as going to mount it to the right of the right license plate light since on the left is the trunk lock, but now I am thinking I might want the camera more towards the driver side. I can't get it dead center unfortunately because of the trunk release handle dead smack in the middle but I'm not really sure if 8" either way is going to make or break the view of a 150' degree viewing angle..lol
