Bringing this back real quick...I've never really looked into the X pipe and removing secondary cats..

My easy question- is this pipe have to be custom bought or can my local muffler shop do this...? I'm assuming it looks like an "X" hence the name LOL..all I want to do is the easiest way to take the secondary cats out...thanks

I had a shop here in Columbus, Ohio www.ipsmotorsports.net do the work.
You can have a muffler shop do it.

No sir it did not. I came on when I did the Charcoal filter delete. ECU software took care of that by Weistec.

Eric.
Sounds very nice ~ Just wondering where did you managed to source the
rear fin diffuser? Also how much did it cost you for the custom mid section
made with stainless tubing.

Wow - those guys did one hell of a great job. Looks like a work of art under your car. Very nice indeed. Get some headers.

Im looking at deleting my secondary cats on my c63 and replacing them with an x-pipe, where and what brand did you buy for your e63, the only ones that i can seem to find are magna flow yonaka and a few generic brands the biggest of which is 2.5in I would like to go with 3in, but I'm really not sure what size the existing exhaust piping is.
Thanks

I just got the car back last night. I kept the stock manifolds and stock primary cats. I deleted the secondary cats and resonator and replaced with a 3" T304 stainless. I left the stock E63 AMG mufflers on the car. I did the charcoal filter delete and added a set of K&N's in. The car feels great and sounds good to.

I had to get some slip fits to go from the factory 2 3/4 pipe to 3". I have a set of headers that are going to be in the works for some R&D work. So I plan on having headers with no cats and still have to decide on what mufflers to go with.

Here are few pic's.
Is the resonators or secondary cats replaced with xpipe?
