Eurocharged Heat Exchanger dimensions/capacity/size? Difference in AITs?

Can you someone please give the subject information? I am trying to see what all these specs are.

is the EC HE the largest on the market? With the most water flow capacity.

Has anyone logged AITs with this HE and the Bosch/CM30/Meisere pump? What were your results?

I have the FTP H/E and it's the same size as EC. I saw one member put in Monster H/E which in my opinion is the biggest I've seen. I could be mistaken though.

FTP is a little 'taller' and E/C is a bit 'wider' but almost the same size in volume... prices may not be totally accurate as I put this list together in March 2012, but many of these vendors have regular 'sales' that make them very competitive

$100 (used) OEM 27" x 5" x 1.625" ~2600sq/in
$180 FrozenBoost: 26" x 7" x 3.5" (1/2" connectors)
$220 ZZP: 28" x 6.5" x 2.25" 4000 sq/in 1.8L 2-row dual-pass (pics)
$325 Fabtech-Performance H/E: 27" x 6.75" x 3.5" BOLT-ON using stock mounts; 2-row dual-pass (3/4" connectors), 1.75L capacity
$395 PLM: 28.5" x 5.5" x 2.25" 4000 sq/in. 1.8L capacity
$546 Eurocharged: 30" x 6" x 3" BOLT-ON using stock mounts; 4000 sq/in 2-row dual-pass (installed pic) 3/4" connectors, 1.8L capacity
$749 MBH / Dyno-Comp Monster Heat Exchanger dimensions TBD; 1.0L capacity, 292.5 square inches of frontal surface area
$1, 295 Speedriven Heat Exchanger - dimensions TBD, capacity TBD

The EC is huge and the best part is that it's direct bolt-on. Get that with the Bosch 010 and you'll be set.

Those two together will drop your AITs a good bit, especially for DD use of the car. In the winter months (if you live North), your car will feel like it's another beast with those cooling upgrades.

I wouldn't exactly say the FTP is bolt on.... It doesn't give anyplace to move the oil cooler.

it goes right below the H/E (i.e. gives the fat lip look) - the H/E itself bolts into the frame - no mods needed...

I run about 10-12 degrees over ambient just driving around town -the bigger volume definitely helps!

What I'm saying is that there are no mounting points for the cooler. I also have the FTP and I hate the way the cooler just sits below the H/E and relies on the bottom tray to keep it in place. I tried zip ties and that looked both horrible with the straps going around my end tanks and it didn't hold well. Rigth now, I have some sort of butyl tape holding it until I get a new cooler. Apparently the previous owner hit something and twisted it. Literally, it's almost shaped like a twizzler. I'm hoping that I can devise a better mounting when I do the E63 conversion and gain more room up there.

Very good summary

I summarized a number of HE's in the thread below, but its more targetted at the W215/220 cars. Not sure how much space there is in the W211.

Companies like Late Model Racecraft and Edelbrock make some big HE's.

It's a bit short. But maybe it was measured from inside the end tanks?

FTP just adds mounts to the frozen boost so the numbers aren't accurate. FTP probably "boosted" their numbers.
