Help with checking IAT's

Does anyone in the Dallas area have any type of data logger to check IAT's? I'm going out to the track tomorrow with some friends and was just wanting to see for sure that my pump is gone before I drop the cash on a pump. Thank you in advance to anyone that can offer any help.

You can buy an obd2 scanner at autozone for under $100. Or there are numerous smart phone apps that you can buy. Just search and you will find lots of information. Its a small price to pay to make sure your car is running right.

Yeah I've been hearing about the Bluetooth with apps on your phone. Any idea if you can buy those at any brick and mortar store?

If you're going to Dallas Raceway tomorrow I have a data logger you can use. I also have a Johnson CM30 pump a lot of us use to replace the stock Bosch units with you can have.

Thank you for that!! I'm def looking forward to meeting you and Fly2nite!! Should be a fun time! Always a good time meeting fellow enthusiast. The help is greatly appreciated you have no idea how frustrating it is for your buddy with a new 5.0 thinking he can run the same times as the E. lol

That is the truth! He was at my door in his 5.0 before this when I had my c5 z06 with full exhaust intake and tune! Def quick cars! Just shouldn't be that close to a stage 3 E55 I wouldn't think.

No problem. I hope it still works. I took it out of my SL55 before I sold it. It's been in storage. Should still work. If not, at least it was free.

I'd say you have a handsome shot at sticking it to him. Unless of course you lose a crap load of traction and he finds it. There's some decent 11 second 5.0's out there with nothing but slicks. Regardless of trap time you'll likely out trap speed him by 10+ mph

If it worked when you took it out I'm sure it'll be fine. Heck no harm in trying though like you said! Can't really get any worse. I'm looking forward to it!

Yeah two weeks ago when we went his best was a 12.5 at 112 so he was trapping 1mph higher than me. So hopefully this pump fixes that. Lol I was getting 1.8-2.0 sixty foots most of the night so if I still cut those and pick up 5-10mph on the top I should be 11's easy I'd think.

Oh no sorry for the misunderstanding I ran a 12.3@111 with the stage 3 but with a failing I/C pump. That's why he thinks it's an even match. Lol

Wow, crazy. Dang I would love to see the difference in IAT's with the bad pump and new and of course the trap differences. I don't know if there's actually 10mph in an IC pump but I've seen weirder **** happen. Good luck man, Ill look forward to reading your results.

Well I think the plan is to run it before changing it and logging then doing the same after so we should see the results you are wanting to compare. If everything works properly on the pump Jim is so graciously donating.
