So my passenger exhaust manifold cracked like all the typical e55 mani's do. I bought a replacement manifold to have the shop put in but they're saying the catalytic converter is history also, going to be $1,600 to replace everything. I'm thinking about just having my buddies shop weld some straight pipes for far less. But I'm guessing I'll get a check engine light? Would a eurocharged tune get rid of the check engine light? Is there a place to buy a replacement cat for less than $900???

But dont the kleemans need to be welded to the stock exhaust? And that wont take care of my bad cat its just replacing the exhaust manifold?
