What year 392 Srt8 does your best friend have (challenger or charger)?
How much power does he have and how much boost?
Is your E55 stock or modded (what year)?
How do you guys race (from 0mph or from a roll)?

Man, relax...you'll be fine. You are, hands down, going to beat 300 the srt8. (My tuned W210 E55 gives them a hard time.) Your advantage over the CLS55 is a little less weight and that the CLS has 19" rims and you have 18"(if you still have factory wheels)

I was under the impression that the challenger 392 came with 470hp/tq from the factory with roughly the same curb weight as a w211 e55. You walk one with an aftermarket blower on top of that? Man, you must have some serious work done.

Hmmm...here is a vid of a superchaged 392:
My understanding is mid to high 12's with a stock 392, IF you are a good driver with the 6 speed.
A friend of mine bought 1 and in June, bone stock he ran 12.9 in Texas heat.

erebus: LOL! Yeah I'm confident I can take the Challenger SRT8 on a roll but I think the CLS will be close (depending on who gets the drop and how quickly the super charger engages). On edmunds it says the E55 is 30 pounds heavier than the CLS55 (4050 vs 4087). How much lighter is the E55 supposed to be? It also looks like the E55 has less drag than the CLS55 (0.27 vs 0.31 according to edmunds).

Bone stock with a tune and upgraded IC pump (mine died) I went 12.36 leaving very soft and a 2.1 60ft.
With a tune, Shardul belt wrap kit and upper pulley I went 12.01 leaving very soft again with another 2.1 60ft.
I borrowed a set of drag radials and not leaving as hard as I wanted to, I went the 11.80 with a 1.80 60ft. I had gone some 1.76 60fts, but spun a little so the ET was not as good.
I am told I would really see an improvement with a larger HE with the upper pulley. That is my next mod, if I ever do another one.
