I have a friend who used to live in Ponte Vedra, he moved to Dallas though, family is still over there though. It would take me like 20-25 minutes to get to his place, he was a little ways passed JTB though, like another 5 minutes down the road.

That car must have been fun, I am strongly considering going to Jeremy's shop next week to have him swap out my blower case/snout for a ported one and do a couple other things and get me closer to 700whp even in the summer heat.

May have my friend coming over soon to do the runs E55 vs V since we are both off work and free. Not sure if you are available and have a GoPro but we could do a few different match ups with you as well

Yep, my heart was broken. lol

I was disappointed after I heard the numbers but a couple of weeks later at the track that 483 didn't mean much to me any more.

60Nomad: I just saw a black V on the highway and man did that car look good in black! So I think you got a great color!

How did you keep getting faster & quicker each run? As you didn't dramatically lower 60' but you def dropped 1/4 ET & upped Traps. Also were these video runs done back to back as they appear or prolly decent rest/cool down between each? Nonetheless stoopid fast ride for mods listed

This guy Jeremy is probably the guy who tuned my 2004 CTSV...I am almost positive that his name was Jeremy...he is in Tampa, right?

yeah, I would have met up if I saw this before I left work. Just moved up from Gainesville and am supposed to get internet service today.

Jeremy ported the snout on my friend's v, so you wouldn't be a guinea pig.

The gto was a handful, never got the traction nailed down and would spin tires at 110 mph kickdown (auto trans) on the highway and put me sideways (and dodging timing boxes) shifting into third on the track.

Thank you.

Nothing special, I did a half hour to an hour cool down between each run and iced the supercharger lid with a couple of bags of ice.

The ECU and Trans(sport mode) tune is just spot on and the -600 DA helped too.

After some careful research and great advice from here, not the caddy forum, I have come up with doing exactly your setup! I have already ordered (last thurs.) the exact stuff that you have and now I will only have to port the snout and TB. I thought that after doing what I have ordered that I would be going to other steps soon after but from what you are saying...maybe not! You are NOT running on E85 correct! No meth inj., correct? I assume not and that is incredible!

Maybe, but your V is still faster than 90% of the cars on the road...There will always be someone with "more", so enjoy what you do have ......

Sorry for the late response, just got back from Aruba.

No E85 or meth in my setup. Just good old 93 octane.

That is hella fast for the minimal mods man I am blown away, did not know that for simple mods on pump gas these were 10 sec monsters. If you dont mind me asking, what did the mods cost to get you into the 10's?

Full weight?

While my V currently has a basically broken intercooler pump which we all how that affects the E55s I still decided to run a Renntech tuned E63 biturbo yesterday in the good ole blazing hot South Florida sun.

Redbulljnky was riding with me, the E63 was alone, I know I was running handicapped but the V still made me proud. After the first run I think Elliot was blown away that we were pulling away from the E63 and stayed ahead until we let off. We had a little bit of a bad start since I hit the gas then let off then he did the same and then we both went but I don't know if I jumped or we took off at about the same. We ran 2 more times but I am sure then the car was to hot (intake temps). He jumped the second run and 3rd was even but after the first run I was done for with the pump problem.
We did drive about 30 seconds before another run but I know that wasn't enough time going by the logging we did the other day when we discovered I had a problem with cruising intake temps of 130* before even making a pull. On the last run we took off at the exact same time and again I pulled out ahead for a few seconds but then he came back up beside and started going ahead about 1-1.5 cars. It was pretty obvious it was because I was heat soaking with a broken pump. I ordered a new one and hope to meet up again in a week to do a rematch.

Elliot and the other guy forgot to bring their GoPro so we only had mine which I put on the Benz facing backwards for the first run which I went ahead so no video really, Then I switched it forward for the others since I figured I would go ahead again from how good the first run was. Of course the heat soak got me so it wasn't quite facing right again. Elliot had a camera in the car with is but I don't know if it came out since he thinks the focus messed up. Not sure if he has checked the video yet.

I will post the little bit I have from GoPro later so at least there is something

Sounds like it is running great David. I am sure that we all know that those Bi-turbos tuned are running incredibly. When you get the pump fixed I would love to see the video. I had a couple of runs the other night and my friend took video. It should be up tonight I hope. Sending the V to get the work done and tuned this wed. I will be away from Thurs. morning till Sunday morning so it should be done when I return.

Me and my friend are questioning whether my V is tuned or not bc it sure did run well the other night against a pullied, headers, tuned, heat exchanger e55. I will know when my guy goes into the puter.

Probably stock, they commonly run stock what most modded Es run with bolt ons. But then again, knowing you have intake and exhaust most people with those mods would get a tune as well, but you never know. I think if you had a tune as well though that the E would not have been able to jump ahead at all in your runs before running him down.

That was the vids with my car and tune only plus cold air (if u wanna call it that) and I had 300lbs more people in the V. Against my car if we were even in weight and clean start...I would have crushed my e55.

I ran a modded E55 with those mods mentioned above and was dead even. Like I mentioned, it goes under the knife this week and he will tell me if the computer was flashed or not. I think I agree with you though as I do not think it was flashed yet.

wait a minute here .... I dont think so. I was at the track with a guy running mid 12s at 114-116 MPH all night in good weather. He had street tires but was still cutting 2.0 60s and the traps dont lie. Oh he was also an auto. I was crushing him in my GTO which traps a lot less than my bolt on E55.

I think it would be more accurate to say a stock V runs right about what a stock E55 runs at the track.

I love the Vs and might get one dont get me wrong but a full bolt on E55 is in the 550 WHP 600 TQ range.
