E55 AMG vs CTS-V Video!
The tune will need to be adjusted for sure with the pump running right since while tuning he was confused with how the car was acting until we figured out the pump was screwed up and just got it the best he could for now.
But for less than half the cost of the mods above you can have a V (that is running properly unlike mine with the messed up pump) that runs pretty close to neck and neck with this E63.
PetroC63's V is a good example with only a couple thousand in mods being able to run a 10.7@127 on 93 octane and 60Nomad is currently getting the same mods to his V.

Urb's car will be even more impressive when he gets it all worked out but everyone has to be impressed with his 'run anyway' attitude even when he knew that there was an issue!
I will get video next week of my runs with my buddy I hope!

Has me thinking maybe trade in the GTO and 300c for a V since I never drive them anymore. Would love the TT E63 but still way too high IMO. If I am going to spend that much I might as well get the 2013 with AWD. Would love to have that kind of power and no traction issues.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

I should at least get a dyno tune to replace this pig rich canned tune I am running. Maybe I will be happier with my car a little longer. Drove my stock GTO the other day and it felt like I has driving a honda lol ..... Amazing what you get used to.

Stock GTO feeling like a Honda is pretty funny!
Dropping the V off today and hopefully
I can get back from my biz trip Saturday and he will have it done! I will keep you guys posted on numbers and more importantly..how it feels. Us locals over here all know that my tuners dyno reads low but as I always say...I don't care about dyno numbers. We will get a before and after pull and see the gains.

Not too sure about getting it back for Saturday either but no biggie, don't want him to rush it either.

Poor track prep made good 60fts a struggle, here were the best 4 runs, tons of low low 11s too with only a slightly better 60ft time away from all 10s.
Full weight, nothing removed on 93 octane as the car is driven daily. Some runs were hot lap some I had the car cooled down, didn't make that much of a difference though. Biggest difference was made on if my 60ft was decent or not which almost all were crummy 1.8s with only the one decent 1.66
I do not know why any new pics I upload are not showing up because I have not exceeded my bandwidth or storage on photobucket, I checked and am far from the limit, but if you click on it you should be able to see the pic.
I have those same drag radials but MT's. I don't really need them yet so I will wait to put them on until the next stage of mods.
When I was in tech the guy asked me what the car runs in which I said this was my first time to the track in it, but I think it may be able to crack a 10. He told me well you are good to a 10.0 with the car from the new rule change but need a jacket at 11.49 so I was a little bummed that I was going to have to just run hard and then jam the breaks all night until the last run or something. After the first run the timing lady was like whoaaaaa you went way to fast, and I was like oh man I even slammed on the brakes. Then she went on to say or is this one of those cars that has everything "built in" that you can go faster. I was like yeah I can go all the way to 10.0 in it with no cage, but she had me go stop by tech anyway, in which they had already been on the radio confirming I was ok before I got there.
The tech guy said I was ok and looked at my slip and then was like you know what hold on, let me go get my fire jacket out of the truck and you can use it tonight. At that point I was pretty happy I could just let her eat on all the runs and went on my way with the jacket. It was a better result than them sending me packing after my first run going to fast and having to drive back to Jacksonville 1+ hour away.
It was pretty funny because when my friend and I were driving to the track I told him man all the local black guys are going to go nuts over this Caddy tonight and we laughed. There is a group of them that always go to the track to stand at the fence and do dollar bets with one another on all the races and just talk trash and have a good ole time. They have done it for as long as I can remember back when I was in college and going to this track.
After I ran 2 or 3 runs I stopped to let the car cool down some and sure enough, here came some of the black guys looking for that Cadillac in the parking lot.
They wanted to know what I had in it and all the stuff done to it. One after the next asking me questions and more and more hanging out around the car every time I would come and park to cool off all night long. It was pretty funny, tons of people at the track were coming to look and ask question and then I had my crew of the about 5-10 at times black guys hanging with me shooting the ****.They were giving me business cards to get in contact and talking about street racing and wanting me to come meet up with some cars they knew of that they thought I could take. I told them I do all this for fun, not out to try and bet money but I think they wanted to try and make some money off me on side betting street races to some unsuspecting opponents.
Overall it was a fun night and worth the little 1 hour 15min drive. I had fun with all the runs even though the track prep wasn't the best. I could run as many times as I wanted because there weren't a ton of cars there, and then the side entertainment of the groups hanging around the car when I was taking brakes was fun too.
My friend who I brought was even telling me about a guy who came in his Vette that was talking about wanting to get rid of it and get a V instead and wasn't running what I was running. My friend said it was kind of funny that someone asked him what the Caddy just ran last time since they knew he was with me at that point. The C6 Corvette guy's girl blurted out "it was a 10.7" before my friend could say anything, and the Vette guy was standing there feeling a little bummed he couldn't go that fast and said something about he would **** himself the first time he ran a 10 and then went on again how he needed to sell his 2 door and get one of those sexy sedans (<--- I added that part)

It was a pretty good first time to the track in the car experience.

Now everyone has a lookout and is beware of that silver Caddy!
I just got some new wheels/tires for the CLS, I put 315/30/20 R888s on the back, well see how they hook Friday! Wanna go?
