9500ci with Midcity interface
So, I have finally got my Escort 9500ci installed in my E55. Sensors all wired up and working prior to install. Everything now is routed and tucked away. Wondering though if someone out there can help me with my problem. When it boots up it does the two beeps and the one beep like the other two 9500's I have, but I only get a brief 9500CI on the cluster display, and the passport does two beeps every 10 seconds or so the whole time it is on. I am going to contact Midcity on Tuesday after the holiday to see what they have to say, mostly for now wondering if anyone else is running this setup and if they have any problems. Install pics coming soon, once the whole thing is finished and working

For those who search for things, the two beeps are for a "Check Receiver Wiring" message. with the midcity interface, there is no need for the factory 9500 display. I have Two other though. and this morning hooked up the display and control from the one in our Stealth to the display and control ports on the E55's, and that is the message that came up. So the first line of business is fixing that front sensor, then starting on the Midcity interface

Got it working, found a bent plug on the front radar sensor. Also remounted the control, as I did not like it in the glove box. Also called midcity, and I think I have the interface working properly. Did some front plate trimming, and got a good location for the front sensor. As with all the 9500's the rear sensor is mounted over the rear plate.

Escorts instructions say that both sensors (radar and laser) work best if not behind any metal. They probably would work fine without trimming, but better if I trimmed it. I have a second center mesh for the car so I figured it would be ok to hack one up. From what I have found, our Stealth has its 9500 radar sensor out in the open like this one is and our SLK has it behind the plastic grille. Overall I would say that the Stealth picks up radar earlier than the SLK, so I think that sensor (radar) works better when nothing, plastic or metal, is in front of it.
