Haha yeah. I know that feeling well. Disconnect the battery. Two screws in the back to remove the air bag. Undo electrical clips. May have to get a small screw driver to pull up the center clips for the air bag. Unscrew the bolt and she's free. This is for an early W211. Mine is a late model so the bolt is 10mm and the air bag connectors are different.

Dude!
that is just beautiful! I can't wait to get mine done, I've finally got a core. What is that design of stitching called? DCT, right?

well went to install the wheel and turns out the wiring pins are a bit different, doesn't look like a big deal but does anyone know a way to wire up the pedals since mine are the 2 wire pins and the wheel comes with the white pin... trying to see if there is alternative ways other than the paddle conversion box
OEM pins
new wheel pins
and here is what they made to do it plug and play... but there has to be a way to Wire them even if you dont have that box... anyone know anything plzz share

The paddles look just like the ones in the wife's 12 GL550. They look black in color. Am I correct on that? You got the part # for those?
Wheel looks great by the way!

Ok did you do the modification to make them work or did you pay someone to do it?
What exact year/month build is your E55?
I am trying to ascertain if some E55's had different plugs depending on when they were built. I heard a rumour all the 2003's and some early 2004's had one style of plug and the later E55's had another style.
I am interested to know how to do the conversion as well.
