Trunk Misalignment
Anyone know of a trunk alignment DYI or thread? My kid pushed on my trunk to close it instead of using the auto close and now it is not aligned.

You're not going to have fun re-aligning that if you cannot do it from the trunk hinge at the trunk itself, which i would try first.
Remove the plastic trim covering the trunk hinge that connects to the trunk itself, the two bolts can be loosened and there is a little adjustment you can do there. If that is not enough to do what's needed, you will need to remove the back seats, and headrests, the rear shelf (which cover's the subwoofer), etc to gain access to the other part of the trunk hinge. You can then loosen the one bolt for a little more movement.
Good luck.

Problem was I had pulled the control from the inside to close it for him cause he looked like he forgot. When he saw it moving he pushed down on it. He is not huge for a ten year old but tall and he did reef on it.
