My wife has the second key and drives the car whenever she wants. Most times though she drives the Jeep, she says shes scared to drive the beast!!

98% of that statement matches me.

My wife is only afraid that she'll damage the wheels or front lip.

In the past I let her drive ... But then I smartened up, now with a front lip, lowered, and with extra HP I think it best if baby don't drive my baby

My wife drives e55 here and there if her car is in the shop. At one point it was her daily driver when it was stock.

U are not wrong by any means ! What she fails to understand is that ur car isn't
Your average honda or camary and driving this car can be a great responsibility with all the horsepower it has and can easily spin out and wreck if the person
Doesn't have a good amount of seat time in the car to get a feel for it.

Its just a car. Tell her to park in the back and if youre worried about the lip ask her to reverse into spots. As far as the power, it doesnt just make itself go..

I take a great deal of pride in my car, and the last thing I want is for her to damage it. By damage I mean crushing my lip, curbing my wheels... Anything, if something gets damaged I can't really get mad and I really just prefer to avoid the situation. She drives a truck normally and has NEVER driven a lowered car... I can't just see her trying to fly over a speed bump like she does with her truck and slamming the undercarriage of my car into the speed bump. I feel like a ******* for feeling this way but in guess it is what it is. To her its just a car, to me and most of you not only is it NOT just a car but the damn thing isn't exactly cheap to fix.

Ok rant over.

My Wife drives mine all the time, but she also has a GSXR1000 Lowered. So she understands horsepower and if she damage my wheels I will sell her motorcycle to pay for the damage. She does not like to drive my STI(six puck clutch) though.

I dated my girl almost a year and a half before she drove it about a mile or two. Only reason I think I gave in was that I needed to drop my truck off at the shop and didn't have anyone available to give me a ride back besides her at the time. She was really good about it though and only got on it once or twice while I was in the car with her.

She was so happy I let her drive it she was good to me the rest of the night too....

Why not convey to her your worries instead of assuming she can't learn? Just saying if your women can't manage to drive a car with respect then maybe she's not the right one for you. I only date car girls so i've never had to worry; my gf right now drives a 2008 s2000 with a ls1.

Its not that serious. lol i wouldnt put a car over someone i care about lol. just dont want me car damaged, im curious how many of you allow ur significant others to drive ur car.

The only car i NEVER let ANYONE drive was my M3, it was just way to low and easy to damage. Plus it was SMG and 90% of the population cannot drive it, took me 6-7mo to learn/get use to it.

Exactly lol Its not that serious.. Plus any damage she may do will rack up some BJ points you can cash in. lol My gf once accidentally filled 87 instead of 93 in a car I had a while ago, 1 bj point for every gallon I had to drain lol

Thats one sexy beamer!

Unless your AMG is controlled with a *****, every woman's skills are different, same as a guys. I know women that would put 95% of the guys here to shame on the road.

I dont think this is really a question of driving skill, i think its more about the level of care given to the car in general. To some a curb, scratch, ding.. whatever.... isnt a big deal and to others it is. those are the things i can see happening.

P.S
The amg takes zero skill to drive.. anyone can jump in and punch it.
