acceleration issue 2004 e55 amg

I just purchased an 04 e55 with 94k on it. Its fast but my brother has the same year of car and his is FAST like throw you in the seat fast. The one I bought has a different exhaust note but does not appear to be aftermarket and the car is fast but but not fast like his and his is stock except for the sl55 driver snorkel tube which I have too. When you get on it sometimes it feels like it hesitates but I can push the pedal to the floor and it starts to go but on his I have never been close to florri g the pedal because it is GONE at the halfway press. If anyone knows what this could be I'd appreciate it. Other forums I read made it sound like the I/c pump causes similar problems. I have it going to the dealer for a diagnostic on Tuesday the 25th so I just want to know what to expect. Also it says it needs a service F if that helps

You could have a bad intercooler pump too causing high IAT's...which will result in the ECM pulling a bunch of timing. That can most definitely make your car feel a lot slower too.

I will try this ecu reset I also appreciate your fast responses. Even though I don't know any of you well YET still makes me feel warm inside :-) I will still get the diagnostic and report my findings just to see what I got good or bad. The exhaust if its not after mark may be a leak so I want to rule that out

X2 on IC pump. I happen to have the newer version Bosch pump on hand you can have for $80 shipped if interested. Cost you around 120 shipped otherwise. Has less than 1000 miles on it. I needed a bigger ump for my Killer Chiller so I barely used it. My old stocker would shut down the SC because the pump wasnt working and that robs all your power.
PM me if interested.

I did the ecu reset and it did help a lot for shift points but I can still press the pedal a little too far before seeing any action and my brothers e55 is just a little bit too hot for me to accept that everything is OK. His is stock and since I drove both he would easily smoke me.

In other news I got a pretty nice car.
All the regular options plus
*keyless go
*electric rear sunshide
*lighting package
*comfort package
*distronic cruise control
*keyless go
*Automatic trunk closer
*heated seats
*cooled seats
*Brilliant silver metallic on charcoal
And best of all no panoramic roof that's a horrible fix if it brakes so I'm glad I don't have one.
The distronic is pretty cool though

I got a really good deal on this car. The guy I bought it from didn't even know what he had
And he thought it was fast and I don't think he even knew something was wrong. I knew right away how fast it should be though

Are you not reading what people are posting?

Did you check your IC Pump to see if it's failing or dead? A dead IC pump will not only heatsoak the hell out of your car and pull timing, but it'll shut the blower off, too, and your car will feel like a dog compared to your brother's car.

Check the IC pump or better yet , replace it ASAP with the CM30 or Bosch 010. With 94K miles and if stock pump, I can almost guarantee it's dead or not functioning properly.

I took the car to Mercedes today to have them change the i/c pump and run a diagnostic.

Why not just order a Bosch 010 from an online site?

Bosch 010 is better and cheaper than the CM30.

Does anyone know what kind of pump the dealer will have to replace mine if I cannot get a Bosch fast enough?
