Do you see what gear the car is in? Can you put it into neutral? I blew a fuse on my shifter and the car wont go out of gear and wouldnt start.

wont crank

check the cable that runs from the back battery, it connects to a lug passing through the floor board under the front passenger side carpet. Pull carpet from the top, remove the Styrofoam insulator then the metal panel to expose where the cable connection is. the corresponding connection is under the car around where the transmission tunnel is. I had the same problem and eventually put brass nuts and washers on mine. You could actually see arc marks on the original nuts. I hope this is useful.

If that turns out to be the issue, please let us know OP. I'd never make that leap in troubleshooting a starting issue and it would be good to know for the future.

update on my non cranking problem. i checked the voltage at the starter and discovered it was very low about 9.0 volts. i discovered the main positive battery cable was about half frayed under the plastic covering. i bought a replacement terminal from autozone to do a tempoary repair and the car started and ran like normal.after i swiched the motor off and started to put the trunk trim back i tried to start the car but it would not crank. i noticed a noise coming from either under or in the supercharger like an electric motor or actuator running constantly . i disconected the battery and obviously it stopped. reconnected the battery and no noise and the motor started first time. stoped motor again and when i try to start it again nothing and the noise again. anybody got any ideas thanks

Hey, I have a new starter on my E320 and it is poppin fuse 59 too. I bypassed the SAM, with a remote relay fed by the jumper point and I am blowing the fuse there too! A few clicks and pop. Did you solve this?

Hey, I put in a new starter and am blowing #59 too. Did you find the cause? I even pulled the relay (L) and wired in a remote one, fed the relay from the jump start post, and (line has a fuse) it blows a 20A after one or two attempts. I hear a click before it blows. The 25A last longer, but still only clicks until it blows. Mindbender.

My problem ended up being the fuse box cover was letting water in and the engine ecu was corroded inside on the printed circuit and corrosion on the multiplugs. I cleaned all the corrosion off with wd40 and have had no problems since.

Nice at least you did not have to get a new ecu
