2006 E55 Feeler
been thinking about selling my 2006 e55 for a while now and though i would throw out this feeler first to see what you guys think in terms of price as they are kinda all over the place with some people wanting to buy e55's for as low as 11K and some people trying to sell them for as high as 29K... so figured i would throw out a feeler to see where the median is
some forum members know what has been done to my car but for the rest here are the mods:
-180MM pinned ASP crank pulley (welded design w/factory hamonic balancer)
-Eurocharged longtube headers with no primary cats
-Eurocharged large heat exchanger
-Eurocharged/buckhead imports dyno tuned
- updated bosch I/C pump
- level10 upgraded torque converter
- KN drop ins
- DDM tuning HID headlights and fogs (much brighter than stock)
- akebono dustlest brake pads
as for maintance, pretty much everything that does go wrong on these cars has been replaced on mine... some of the main replacements recently done are:
-as of next week all 4 airmatic struts/bags/springs will have been replaced
- transmission
- alternator
-serpentine and s/c belt
-idler tensioner pulley and tensioner
-door lock actuator on both front doors
-rear main seal
-motor mounts (twice) and transmission mount
-battery and aux battery
tires just installed last week
- brand new Sumitomo HTR Z III (245/40 in front, 275/35 in rear)
car has 122K miles on it... i bought it with 46K miles on it FEB 2011 ..a lot of those miles are highway miles as i am from florida but work in TN and make a lot of roadtrips back to FL which is a 1400 mile round trip that i do about 2 times per month
the interior on my car is near perfect and the rear seats look like they have never been sat in (actually since i have owned it no one has ever sat in the back)... i have never farted in the car... ok, well maybe a few times, but you cant tell
the exterior is in good shape as well.... there are the usual road chips in the front bumper area that any car this age is gonna have
on to the pics

No keyless go, no cooled seats (even though they suck), no pano, no dynamic seats, no electric rear sunshade? Having said that, I would still list it at like $19k and wouldn't take less than $17.5k.
These cars can't just keep going down and down in price, they need to level off. They are some what rare and are good cars.
If I were to list mine today which has like 88k miles I think, keyless go, electric sundshade, heated/cooled seats, Navigation and basically same type of engine mods for the most part I would list mine for about $26.5k but I do have the E63 front conversion, the 20" Vossen wheels, pano roof and unicorn white as well.
But, mine is not for sale. Someone would have to come with closer to $30k for me to let it go since they say everything has a price.

The cars only worth what someone is willing to pay.. Put it up for sale for 25k and see what offers you get. Someone might see your car, love it and overpay just because they want your exact car.
I paid 19k with 86k for MY06 Designo with everything except the parktronic or whatever its called. Sticker price on the car was almost 97k. My car had a bad vibration and the guy thought it was the motor about to go, I knew right away it was only the motor mounts lol I was ready to pay up to 25k because it had the right options and my favorite color on a car. KBB says my car is worth 22k.

I'd list it at the higer end of what nada/kbb value is, especially with all the recent maintenance done to it. Even the high mileage, nothing should be wrong with the car for another 65k miles or so.

The way the E55 values have dropped since the biturbos came out is nuts. It may have nothing to do with the biturbos since they're 4 generations apart but since then these cars have tanked. Makes me wish I would have sold mine in 2012. Now they're the best buy out there. Here's hoping you get low 20's for it.

I'd put it up for $21-22K and see if you get any bites. There are so many people out there, I'm one of them, that don't care about options.
Your car looks exceptionally clean and well taken care of (both mods and maintenance items), so the options really aren't that big of a deal. This would be the perfect drag car.
Seriously, as long as the car has a working AC/heat and a CD changer, I don't give two s**ts about the other options. That was my mindset when looking for another 06. I just lucked out and got a heavily optioned one (only option my car doesn't have is PANO & Disctronic, which I didn't even want a PANO car- heavier) and for an outstanding price.
Honestly, I wouldn't sell your car for less than $19-20K and if you don't get that, drive it into the ground.

LOL, you are all over the place in wanted cars! I was thinking about a B8 S4 when I was looking for something else but got the CTS-V, I knew I wasn't going to be happy with the S4 with it not being any faster than the E55 even with every single mod you could install, the V is in another league so that was my choice. I myself have honestly never wanted a Porsche, not sure if I would like it or not, I think I have just grown to like 4 door cars and the Porsche being tiny inside even though I am not a big guy I don't think I would care for. The awd I would love though and of course the turbos.

Drive a 997 GT2 and I GUARANTEE you will feel different about Porsche.
OP - Buy a GT2 is you can afford one, you won't regret it. Likely the only car I would consider selling the E55 for right now. Car is just nasty in stock trim.

the b8 s4/ cts-v both on the cheaper $ side... the audi being more tame but still fast and AWD and the cts-v i can see myself gettin in trouble with (already was pricing out D3 ultrachargers and built engine cost lol)
I just really dont think i want a 500+ Rear-wheel drive DD car anymore though.... prefer AWD in high HP Daily driver

Good god, stay away from D3, much better value out there.
Mine has 640whp with a little room for about 10-15whp more in the timing map and I love it. Stock engine and stock tranny can handle up at around 800whp, save your money on a built one!

Don't know of anyone with that setup or anyone talking about it. I only know of one guy running a 3.4 Whipple who just got it up and running and forget but think he has a built 427ci engine or something like that. A few others have the ZR1 2.3 liter blower with a modified inlet (supercharger snout) and then another company Magnuson just released their 2.3 for preorder at like $6500. Need to supply your own injectors though and a few other things like relocating some stuff or making little brackets.
