Screw this damn pulley
So the stock supercharger pulley bolt is driving me insane. I have tried the damn strap wrench technique and broken 5 of them. I even did a ratchest strap setup to a steel beam and an impact with 180 psi at 1000ft lbs and heat with no cigar. I swear to god someone put this on with an impact and red loctite then proceeded to weld this ******* on. Any insight or help? I mean do i have to hold an impact on it for 1hr to break loose? Got no where for 30 minutes.

What about one of those seatbelt style oil filter wrench (maybe some belt grip sprayed on it or glue with a 20mm spanner on the square tube bit and a goold old number 24mm spanner with a big long bit of RHS attached to it as a breaker bar? Sometimes those little rattle guns are **** poor.

I just had to deal with a particularly tough one.
I found the double hose clamp method worked well (along with heat being applied to the bolt).
here is an example in this cheasy video (my apologies if the creator is a member)
look around the 4 minute mark for the double hose clamp part (disregard just about everything else : )
Cheers,
Chris

What are you using to hold the motor from turning? Mercedes makes a lock that replaces the starter and locks down the flywheel tight if the bolt is really touch to get out. I have bent the handle into a pretzel on many of the Mercedes pulley holding tools trying to get the bolt out and that tool only works with the factory style pulley anyway.
The problem with taking these bolts off a lot of time is that the motor is still moving even if it's just a small amount, it really reduces the amount of torque on the bolt by a significant amount.

I didn't realize we were talking about the supercharger bolt, sorry. I thought it was the crankshaft bolt

are you using an extension on the impact gun?
at first I used a 1/2" drive impact gun with a short socket and 6" extension and couldn't budge the bolt.i switched to a deep impact socket and 3" extension and the bolt came right off.

I used 2 c clamps and an old serpentine belt with a 3 ft breaker bar ,be careful with that bolt it has a hole in it ,if you break it good luck getting that ,hello Germany

This^^^^ Use the shortest extension you can. No extension if possible.
