I think I need HELP!

I've never owned an MB. Lately I've been looking around for a GL and out of the blue, after seeing a listing for an E63 wagon, without ever having as much as TOUCHED an e63 much less test drove one, I put a deposit down on it and should have it delivered this week. Am I crazy? Do I need professional help?? Do I have any idea what I'm getting into? Do I need an extended warranty? What issues do I need to look out for? Any help would be appreciated!!!

Buying sight unseen is never smart IMO but warranty is recommended if you can find a provider. All your other questions can be answered if you took the time and searched on this forum. Good luck...

Hope all goes well, if it does, that is so awesome the you got a WAGON! Find a good Indy mechanic , shop for parts yourself, if your mechanically inclined you can do a bunch of the DIYs! If not try and get a good warranty. The dealer near me can go eat a sweaty nut sack, Dealer=Stealer! Congrats on the potential wagon..... Use that search button on the forum it is very helpful!

You got a wagon you can't loose too much on that it's really rare ! Just make sure it's mechanically sound and you should be good. Get a warranty

This place is a joke.
I'd say get a warranty if you can find one that will cover an AMG, they are getting harder to find (the warranty not the cars). You have 3 things on that car that are known for problems; the 6.3 engine, the 722.9 7-speed transmission, and the airmatic suspension. Make sure to read the warranty contract and see what it covers.

Thank u all for your input. I'm quoting a fidelity platinum 3/36 at around 5k. Just wanna make sure it makes sense. There is also a 4/48 for over 7k.

And I also wanted to verify that this vehicle is overall a reliable daily driver and that I wouldn't be pulling my hair out.

For sure a daily driver. The 3 year should be good to cover any major issue, just make sure it covers drive-train and if possible suspension.

These cars are pretty solid. And as someone mentioned, the wagons are very sought after. Easy flip if you don't like it or get scared at the first repair bill

The posts you see here are maniacs who have done so much to thieir cars the fact that they even roll is a surprise. A stock E63 should last you many, many, many years.

Gas.. Hmmph..

My AMG gets better mileage than my other vehicle.. Regardless of how I drive it.

Any conversations about gas mileage or weight reduction needs to be taken elsewhere.

...Would that add 15lb to my car?..

****ing-A -right it will. Guess how much the Glass roof and solar panels weigh??!!! Its OK, that's what torque is for!
