help
my 06 e55 sometimes the steering wheel wobbles from 45 to 60 mph and some times it does not. Can anyone get what is it from, could it be the bushings or wrapped rotors?
i have brand new tires on there and rims are straight.
thanks

if its doing it only at certain speeds = resonant vibration, then its probably a balance issue
vibration only at certain speeds is usually a balance or tire issue
and toadster- we dont have "thrust bearings" ... you might be thinking Thrust arm bushings

It's probably very likely it is not hub centric. You may need hub rings. If it is for sure a wheel that is built specific for Benz and is in fact hub centric the only other thing I can think would be that you need to road force the tires. The tires can still be in balance and "zero" out but what happens is one area of the tire can have too much material essentially and cause a heavy spot which while spinning would cause a vibration. What they will do is match that high spot on your tire with a low spot on the wheel. In most cases vibrations are caused by 3 or 4 things: bent wheel, out of balance, custom wheels not hub centric, road force the tires.
