Ambient temps were around 65 degrees.
Don't know how to tell exactly what caused piston failure.
Once the engine is out I will take some pics and post maybe members can tell what might of caused it.
I don't have the ability to an AFR gauge BUT will definitely out it in when the engine goes back in.
Any recommendations for the AFR gauge? and where is the best place to put it?
As far as meth, I'm thinking of going the Killer Chiller route.

Innovative or Zeitronix for your wideband/data logging setup. KC was a great addition but, meth adds a bit more safety due to its octane boosting benefits. You never know when you'll get that bad batch of fuel.

Get yourself a fuel pressure gauge, the port valve is easy to access up front ,that could have been a factor ,I just had a bad fuel pump car had 25 k on it,then I replaced that pump with new one from dealer and had to get that one warranted ,was making a high pitch whine ,kind of sounded like that tool that cleans your teeth

As far as the Fuel Gauge, will I be able to monitor the fuel pressure inside the car while i'm driving? Or is the fuel guage just to check the pressure in general?

Do not be satisfied with just a pressure reading and we all know pressure is a restriction to flow. A car can show the normal running pressure but the flow will not be there during heavy loading or high demand. We have seen a few filters people have pulled out of their cars on this and other forums , truthfully have never seen any that have been pulled personally to be that dirty, wonder just where these people get their fuel. Just to be confident on flow, it might be prudent to remove the pumps and check for cleanliness or just change them out before going for the big HP at the recommended mileage to minimize engine failure from running lean on the #8 cyl. Also a pressure drop will surely effect the atomized spray pattern of the injector and could create a larger particle size which might encourage detonation. IMO

Hey Guys,
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
My question is that I pulled the motor and looking into the headers and the intake valves - It's BLACK, I think its carbon buildup...
Is that normal???

Out Of Control!!
Hopefully the walls arent scored when you take it apart. Make sure you pull the piston out the block because it may look good in the cylinder but when you pull it out the side skirts can crumble. Let me know if you need anything else.
