Hi guys, just thought I would introduce myself,

Just purchased a w211 e55 amg in tanzanite blue

Here she is

That's before I switched to a flat badge

I won't bore you with more photos I'm sure you all know what they look like

It's a 2003 with a few options, sunroof, electric rear blind, manual side blinds, command, heated and cooled seats etc, auto boot (trunk) and overall I'm in love with it

My past cars of interest was a 200sx s14 (uk version of your Nissan 240) which I used for drifting until I decided it was closing me too much, so I swapped to a Mazda rx7 fd3s which cost me even more, after spending £14,000 on the engine and making 520 wheel hp and getting to the point it just wasn't fun to drive anymore I changed to an audi b6 s4. The s4 died after timing chain issues, so now I have the e55!

Plans include first sorting out the cooling with a new he and pump, also looking to do some exhaust mods at the same time however finding somewhere around here to do it is proving harder than first planned!

Random car related question, the heated seats (front and rear) and cooling, when you turn them on to full power over the space of 45 mins to an hour they slowly automatically reduce the power? Is it supposed to do this? Any way to keep them on full for as long as I want? It's cold here in the UK!

Your wheel is on the wrong side. Other than that, the car looks nice!

I'm from the south west in a place called Gloucester, it's right next to Wales and Bristol, south of Birmingham, about 100miles from London. Even though Gloucester is classed as a city within 2 miles of my house it's nothing but country green hills and trees...

Unfortunately our roads either tend to be great or really bad, with winter now setting in its currently about 10 degrees Celsius during the day, the roads will get worse with the frost opening up the Tarmac and giving us huge pot holes I'm having to pay nearly $500 a year for road tax on the car and about $800 insurance which both are mandatory in the uk

I miss England, but then this serves as a reminder of why I left.

Hi MaLicE, welcome to the forum, my car is currently in the middle of fabrication and testing of a hood mounted tank, the man to speak to is Olly at PCS in Horndean in Hampshire, HE and pump already replaced, or you have Acid at MSL in Birmingham.

Hi ginger, thanks for that, what size is the tank? I contemplated doing the small power steering fluid tank I think it is that I saw on here and on YouTube?

Removed the baffles in the exhaust today, massively disappointed with how much noise the car still doesn't make think I need to do x pipe and then possibly decat as compared to my s4 it's sooooo quiet

Acid is in Vegas at Sema with the guys from Eurocharged so it could be a case of when the cats away the mice will play.
I am happy to help if you have any questions or need advice until Acid gets back from the US.

Hi MaLicE,

Not sure what the size is of the tank but its a lot bigger than the power steering fluid tank mod, the tank has a homemade KC element to it as well, we are currently trialing this set up and making further design changes to both pump and hose lines/ re-routing to find the most beneficial setup.

This thread on the UK site has more details.
